wait until I get my house all in order, and have a REAL guest room - then people can come visit!

When my folks come for a visit, I just surrender to the butter. :rotfl:

I also like butter on my jelly side of a pbj. I t keeps the bread from geting soggy.

Ah yes, the 'proctetive coating' of butter! :lmao: Just like the protective coating of frost crystals on the ice cream!

I'm sorry to hear this but glad you will still be on the cruise. I don't know if it applies to you guys but I received an email today saying that if you had your refund directly deposited into your account you would get the economic stimulus refund on May 2. Again, I don't know if you qualify but maybe this will be useful to someone.

Those refunds start going out MONDAY the 28th. If your SS# ends in 00 through 20 (I think), those will go out first. If you did automatic deposit of your 2007 taxe refunds, those folks will see theirs first.:woohoo:

I know, but really, I am sure the hotel is gorgeous itself...but think of all the other things I can do with that money! I just know we are going to commando the parks for the time we are there and I really can't justify that amount of money...plus, I could use that for rebooking onboard or Samantha's birthday trip in October!

I feel left out...on our last cruise everyone seemed to be on deck 6!! Now it's 7! I am way down below!

Well yes, in your case maybe it does pay to downgrade your hotel in DL.

There are more disers on 6 than on 7. There are a lot on 2 also. You'll see when I email PJ my new and final list to put up on the website. It breaks down all disers by deck and by room. I'm just waiting to hear back from one more, sourmug, then I can send it to PJ.....hopefully by this weekend.

Oh Deb, what a bummer. But you're right, you are still having a wonderful vacation. AND that money WILL show up eventually.

.

Very true Jackie......that's a good way of looking at it. When it does show up, I'll just have to plan another vacation.....maybe WDW in December......he, he, he, ha, ha, ho, ho!!!!

Holly, sorry to hear about your friend:hug:

Deb, glad to hear you are still coming:cool1: had me worried for a few!

Cruise Question.....

What is the actual time that you can pull into the port and start dropping off luggage and get through security? I keep getting different answer.

It changes, based on when they clear the ship and get the passengers and luggage off. It's safe to say 10:30ish.

Our last two cruises we arrived at 9am and one we got on at 10am and the other we got on at 11am. When we asked why our 11am was so late they said it was unusual and it's because the ship cleared late. When I asked them what was a good time to get there, they said 10:30ish.

Hope this helps.

This weekend is Greek Easter.....it's a big holiday for the Greeks.....bigger than Christmas. This will

John has been at the hospital all week with Manual. Manual is really improving and is very responsive. he still can not talk and it is very frustrating for both John and Manual. John just mentioned last night that this is the first year his entire life that he has not been to church any night of holy week. he is going to try to go tomorrow night but will depend on how tired he is.

Thanks for the update Amy. I'm glad Manuel is still improving. I will be going to church on Sunday and lighting candles for all of you!!! You're in my prayers.

Oh yes, I will try and pop in to see you Connie. We kept popping ropund to the desk at POR last November, but we missed you.

We actually rented the points for this stay, and they became members ourself in December. We are staying at the GCH on Developer points. Using our points for our trip in December this year and hope to go again next May.

Haven't had a card about DVC California, but we wouldn't buy there with it being such a long flight.

I don't expect to buy, but it will be fun. Connie

It's an AWANA thing here in the U.S. http://www.awana.org/about/

Ken and Corrine, actually it is part of the Scouting program for girls here in Canada. It is the youngest group of girls, ages 5-6, in the Girl Guides program. Nothing to do with Church.

"In Sparks, the emphasis is on developing friendships and learning about community, while also exploring the individual skills and talents of each girl in the unit. Through a varied program that includes activities in the areas of the outdoors, the arts and the sciences, girls are encouraged to try a bit of everything.

No two days in Sparks are alike. Examples of activities at weekly Spark meetings include:

*becoming familiar with the community through excursions to community *facilities such as a fire station or a neighbourhood landmark
8exploring the arts by sculpting animals with playdough or making musical instruments
*learning about safety at a bike or water safety day
*learning to prepare simple snacks
*learning about the outdoors on nature scavenger hunts
*having sleepovers or going camping
*Sparks learn to share and to think of themselves as part of a greater community and along the way they make friendships that will last a lifetime."

Normally they will have a cut off DOB date for each age group, but see if she can go along as a guest and look into a local Brownie troop.

Deb...are you back for more list punishment?? The master list wasn't enough?! :lmao: I tell ya, if I never see another list, I'd be a happy woman!!!

You're so right Lisa.....I fully agree!!! But this one is done......it was quick and easy and I took it right off of yours. I'm just waiting for sourmug. Then I'll send it to PJ for the website and I'll keep extra copies in case someone wants a manual one upon arrival.

Happy Easter......I don't know how to spell Christos Anesti??? Are you doing anything special to celebrate?

I just got an email from Orbitz and they are saying we will have to pay the additional charge even though our ticket was purchased prior. Did you get the info from Northwest?

As Angie found out once, her airlines tickets although booked and paid for on a web travel site months in advance, had not actually been booked with the airline by the website. She learned this at the airport! They seem to actually ticket the seats to particular travelers very late in the game.

Hey All:

Sorry, but I had to work and don't have the ability to chat from work. Read from page 185 til 212 then skipped to here. Figured I would just read more about sandwiches, etc...

Saw that a lot of folks are staying on deck 6, so are we.

Did our on-line check-in last night and printed everything, tomorrow I'm submitting our "mail hold" at post office. Finally only two weeks left!

Surprised not to see the "Gabby 5" as they're referred to online yet?

Thanks Gaylean, I did hear about this today too. I just figured with my luck they'll lose that too and I'll have to fight for it just like the other one. I have learned not to depend on anything from the IRS.

Yep. Gaylean knew what it was. I had to google it last night. What we discovered could be found here in this post:
