Yes, I was on the Magic when the two ship were in Nassau together.

At the end of my countdown there are two links, the first is to the group iCal.

Yep, saw the calendar...thanks. My wife and I were also on the Nov 07 Western Cruise aboard Magic. The diversion to Nassau was nice, especially to see both ships, horn duel etc. Meg was nervous about the weather and the movement of the deck but managed okay on only our second cruise. See ya onboard.

Welcome!! I'm sure someone has already posted, but check the first post of this thread for lots of info. Post more till you get to 10 posts, then PM PJ.
aha, yes, I am now getting the hang of it and trying to post away so I can use the PM feature. Ofcourse understanding some of the Abbreviations is half the battle.

thanks

Good morning everyone. Trouble is up. I have read a few pages and I actually had nothing to post. I'm tired.

Welcome. My husband and I are 32. We are also having a wig party some day on the cruise. So bring one if you guys want to play.

Yes, just wife and I. Hmmm...don't know how to answer "old geezer question. I am 32 and Meg is 27, sorry - no kids yet

Oh youngins. You can still come to the Old Geezer affair if you are willing to assist geezers (over 55) or geezers in training(over 50) in making sure we can find our staterooms. :thumbsup2 Or you can join the other youngins for shots around the ship.

morning all. I ended up watching a movie called the Graveyard. Kind of a B movie I guess.

Now I am at work, trying to get everything caught up. Trouble is I can't do much until the month has actually ended.

Julie - I think it was you who asked why they had to destroy the alligators...well a few years ago there was a case in Sanibel (which is known for lots of alligators and the locals have always tolerated them, avoided them and been respectful of them) where a woman working in a yard by the canal was attacked by an alligator and partially submerged. She survived and was hospitalized but then later died from septic issues that arose from being in the water so long. After that they passed a law here that if an alligator was over 4 ft - which is not BIG at all - and aggressive, it must be destoyed.

They also feel if an alligator wanders into yards, homes, etc, it has lost its fear of people and thus must also be destroyed. It's a shame they can't take them to the zoo, AK or put them down in the Everglades.

I know, more than you wanted to know.

Important in FL, when you are near any kind of canal or lake it is important not to walk along the edge especially with young children or animals, gators see that as food! It's amazing how many people still take the chance, then lose their dog and then another animal has to be destroyed.

Thank you for the info, especially the last paragraph, that can be life saving!

Good morning all! I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought of was this cruise!! I have a lot to do to get ready and realized that I will probably be spending less and less time on the boards (at least that's what I think!) so I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe journey to FL. Whether you are coming from far away or close by, I hope everyone arrives safely and ready to party!!! I know I can't wait!

We can´t wait to meet you at the cruise!

10 May cruise will be our third cruise..still newbies. We (wife and I) would like to get involved but we don't know how.

Can anyone direct us or help us to link up with someone so that we can particpate in activities and meet people onboard?

We are overwhelmed trying to read all and don't know where to start. Apologies for only trying with two weeks+ until "bon voyage."

We aren't the most computer savvy, thanks.

Welcome! It is never too late to join us. Go to the first page and the signature on Pj´s posts.

Thanks for asking. We are all miserable right now. With the stress of school and work, my little family is stressed out to the max. I just keep counting down the days. My son is missing alot of school and just got suspended from school for two days because he was caught smoking a cigarette in the bathroom. Ugh!!

I can't keep up with this thread, so i don't post much. I did get out some suitcases, but two I think are too big, so I am going to use a duffel or two for most of my stuff. I will have to do laundry at some point.

I am looking forward to the cruise, but I am quite worried about my son. He is having lots of problems at school and I don't think he is going to pass his classes this second term. But we will do the best we can and that is all that we can do.

Sorry for the downer post. I am going to buy some pins, no matter how cartoonish they are. :thumbsup2

I am so sorry about your husband, I wasn´t on the boards around that time. :grouphug: to your family and I hope the cruise will be a healing time for all of you.

A wig part??? Okay, now I'm confused... so far we've been invited to a "wig party" and and "old geezer affair." I'm beginning to wonder if those are the same events? lol.

He's going to think you guys are old and crippled :lmao:

:lmao: Their wigs look like real hair and ours look crazy. Mine are pink and lime green.

Mrs Mork - must have missed the part about the shots on the ship. NOW YOU'RE TALKING. But, we'll need to get on the ball with the door decorations or I'll never find my way back!

They will be taking place on the same evening. The OGs figure they will collect more and more of the wig people as the night goes on, lol.

There is a thread somewhere on this board that lists most of the abbreviations we use. I'm sure someone can post a link to that for you also. I am not too computer savvy either so posting links is not something I can do. :surfweb: :confused3

No, no, no. We geezers are not wearing pink, blue or lime green wigs. The wigs would be on the shots group. :rotfl: :lmao:
