I'm too chicken to order shoes on-line. I did find new shoes at Sears for the cruise. A nice casual, comfy, wedgie in red, polka dots. When I showed them to DD3 she said "oooh, you have Minnie Mouse shoes" Which is what I thought they looked like too.
And this weekend, I bought a new toiletrie bag (red, polka-dots). There can never be too many red, polka-dots.

Lunch time is over and I'm still 20 pages behind! Oh well, maybe will take a coffee break this afternoon just to see how much further behind I'm getting

Zappos is great though. I will order ten pairs and then try them all on. maybe say 5 or 6 I like then I just ship the rest back no hassles and they credit my card! Really painless and easy.

We took Patrick to a new Dr. this am. The appt. was for 10:30. We were early until we got stopped by a train! Sat there and Sat there! Finally the train moved enough for us to go down to the next block to get across.
NO parking places at the parking lot.......Chuck let me and Pat out....he circled.

We get to the new Doc's office, and it's FULL! It was 10:30!!! Anyway, we waited for 1/2 hour, then 1 hour, and I spoke to the receptionist....he's running 1/2 hour late, I said it's been an HOUR! I spoke to 3 people in the waiting room, all had 10:30 appts with the SAME DOCTOR! Anyway, at quarter to 12, CHuck says, we are leaving at 12.

I went up to the destk at 12 and said we are leaving, she says "He'll be ready for Patrick in 10 minutes" Well, we left.

There are other doctors in the world!

I want to thank everyone for letting me vent and all the well wishes and prayers. After I posted this morning, I went to the school and picked my son up and brought him home. He was complaining of a migraine. He is having alot of those mostly due to the fact that he can't sleep and won't take any medication. We will get through this and I am really looking forward to the cruise, I think it will be great. I really hope he behaves on the boat. I would hate to be put off the ship at a foreign port. That would be very scary to me.

As for the pins, I am getting one of each. And a t-shirt, if someone doesn't buy them all in the beginning of the trip like last time. Those will be my souvenirs for the trip.

Now back to catching up!!

That's horrible treatment to be forced to sit there like that. I hope you find a better doctor that cares more about their patients.

hmm I am on DL site and looking at switching hotels...if I try and book PP with tickets, it only comes up with GC, if I try all on its own, its available....? wild!

I know when I read it I was like, ok yeah that's the same as here on a regular basis... I always know that if I have a 10:30 appt with the Dr I'll be lucky to get in by 11:30. Thus I don't go very often. In fact I don't even know my Dr's name...

So sorry you had to go through this.

I always ask for the first appt of the day or the first appt after the lunch break.

It can mean waiting a few extra days but I'm not stuck waiting.

Connie...I am so sorry to hear about this. Stories like this make me so mad....one of my priorities in starting my own practice was to always run on time and I am proud to say that that is what I do. Now, I only schedule 1 patient every 30-60 minutes depending on the complaint so I don't over book myself and I spend 30-60 min with my patients. It has become a joke as many patients come early to their appt so they can read the mags in the waiting room. Personally, I get up and walk out after 20 minutes. My time is important to me and I know it is possible to run on time. I have made many a doc mad at me walking out, but maybe someday they will learn
