I just watched The Notebook the other day. A beautiful story about this.

Carol

Great movie. Gives some insight into Alzheimer's I think. Mother has been enjoying looking over a photo book of her life and our daughter-in-law who works as the Marketing Director for a Senior Citizen's community and knows a TON of stuff says that such a book helps keep the Alzheimer's sufferer in contact with his or her past. it helps them know who they are. In THE NOTEBOOK the story she wrote when she was younger helped bring her memories back each day. Sad but oh so loving!

OMGosh, I can´t believe that we have less than 3 weeks to go and I haven´t done a thing :scared1:

As I posted a few weeks ago, I am pregnant and battling morning sickness, but we are still cruising, I just hope it doesn´t get worse and I am left green in my cabin  while DH and DD have all the fun.

I know that I promised somebody a few Harry Potter books, but i can´t remember whom, so whoever you are, please do ring my cabin (5134) one day so I can give them to you.

I have awful preggo brain, so please, please, please bear with me, and if I seem rude to someone by not recognising you or remember your names, please do tell me, I will not be at all ofended if you do :)

I have not started packing, and don´t have a list yet, and I don´t know if it is even worthwile trying on my gowns since what fits now might not fit anymore in a couple of weeks :scared1:

Have a great week!

Moring sicknees is the WORST....(I had it 24/7 for 9 months!!, I often wished it was MORNING sickness).....what got me though was my doctor kept telling me the sicker I was the healther the baby was!! And now he is in college and cruising with us and he has been HEATHLY!!

It was a wonder I ever had any more children.....you know they say if you are really sick....it is a boy!!! (old wives tale!)

We measured our rain so far in No Virginia and we have gotten over 4 inches since 6am yesterday.....supposed to rain all day today and tomorrow!!

Yikes, I'm not sure how much we have received. We have flood warnings here and it's supposed to rain all day. Fortunately we are very high.

This has probably already been answered....but I am too far behind to find out......
I would say a 5.00 buy in with that many people. I wonder if we could play with 6 per table instead of 4 to take up less space..then I guess it would be confusing over who got to move and who didn't? not sure about that one. I also have lots of other prizes that we do....I'll have to think of them all and let you know. (most bunco's, most wins, least wins, "player", 2nd place, 3rd place, 2nd biggest loser) those are some, but I know there are a few other "official" ones.
Lisa...PM me if you want me to help brainstorm on this one.

You were the only anwser so far Thanks!!

I will make up the rules I think and PM you....thanks for the help!!

Hi,
I'm so far behind this has probably been answered several times, but our Bunco group is apparently small (3tables of 4 people)-didn't realize how small untill you said you have played with groups of 32. I think it would be good to have the game somewhere quiet-with this many people, there is going to be lots of noise anyhow!1:lmao:  Our buy in is usually $10.00, but we only give prizes for the highest score, the lowest score and the most Buncos. Even though a lot of us have played before, you will need to let us know how this game will be played. I'm sure we all may play a little different. This will be a lot of fun-thanks for organizing it...Vicki

We will have to decide $5 or $10 buy in......let me know guys what you want!

Good morning everyone.

When I saw my brother before work this morning, not only were his eyes open, but I swear he acknowledged me by nodding his head! This is a big step, and I am hoping when I go at lunch that I can confirm he is coming around.

Thanks again for all your prayers!

:grouphug:

I am continuing to pray for him...:goodvibes :goodvibes

What are Bay Bunco prizes? :confused3 :confused3

Sorry may have typed wrong BABY BUNCO....each time you roll 3 of a kind...Not the # you are currently rolling you steal a marker from someone else and the ones who end up with the markers at the end off the game get a prize (Disney Pin, T shirt something...)

Just in case anyone is wondering... opting out of working in Jersey this week helped in feeling better... maybe I was just really stressed out about it... Still on meds and such, but hopefully it won't be too long until I feel semi human again...

Thanks for all the advice and the note (especially the note!!!)

Glad you didn't do the Jersey adventure. Please get better soon!

Hello everyone!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Here I am ... back from the abyss ;)

Between Taxes, trying to help a friend sell his Franchise (and getting paid for any free hours I found to help him), then most importantly keeping up on Schoolwork (since we homeschool), David's hockey schedule, and my teenage girls' social schedule ... then I caught a VERY BAD flu (but I couldn't slow down enough to get better) and finally completing our Girl Scouts Spring Registration for our ever-growing troop (we added 7 new girls, then I closed the troop!), I am completely exhausted, overwhelmed since I am now going to have to "rush" to get my packing done ... :scared1:

... and I have MISSED you all so much!! :goodvibes
:tinker: Karen

Karen, please take the time to take care of yourself. We want you on that ship healthy!

John, thats wonderful news. Continued prayers for the road to recovery.

Can I buy in with Disney Dollars? :lmao: :lmao:

I already got my tax refunds...that was FAST! E-filed on the 13th, the deposits came in on the 18th and 19th.

Off to try and catch up on some missed pages.....

If I was at home, I would now have my cruise documents. But I'm not, so I haven't. :sad1:

UPS tried to deliver them at 1015 this morning but their website says there was no-one to sign for them so they'll try again tomorrow. I bet they didn't even try the neighbours because I'm sure one or other would've been at home.

I hope they've left a card with a contact number on because otherwise the same thing will just happen again tomorrow. :sad2:

I should've taken the day off. ;)

OOOH NOOOOOOOO!!!!!:sad2:

This is what mine says:

>>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again.

That's the message when I put my DCL Res No into the Tracking No box.

It needs to be your DCL Res No in the Shipment Reference box, not the Tracking No box. If you're on the page with the Tracking No box, look further down and there's a link for Shipment Reference which will take you to another page.

And try just picking your country, and not filling in any other details. I'm accessing mine with just my DCL Res No and my country.

Oh, that's a cute idea....we just give 5 points for baby bunco's and 21 points for regular bunco's. connie

Like I said.....THERE are SO MANY different ways to play!
I have a friend who's Bunco group only counts the 6's, they say it's too much trouble to remember all the numbers........:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am always amazed that the docs going to far off places get there before those shipped domesticly, you might have to have a "personal day" to stay home and receive them.
