I know it is the one expensive thing I've talked to Paul about and he is all for it. He constantly tells me to do whatever I need to do to get healthy, which for me means loose weight and exercise.

He would agree to anything. That's how he is. He may be a little jealous of the computer right now! We are both trying to lose weight but I can't think about anything but this cruise.

We could do it afterwards, we are too close now. And then if we hate each after the trip we can cancel and if we love eachother it would be like a mini vacation just for the 2 of us in hell only if we can bring a laptop and make a TR for everyone to laugh at us along the way....

We wanted to be there by 3:00 so about 2:30.

Holly he is your kid and your kid is the most IMPORTANT KID IN THE WORLD (to you) just as mine are to me. You need to have him in the front and center of everything you do and say that is your job as a mom and it's the most important job in the world. We are here to listen and we understand the need to vent.

I know we've asked and you have answered about his meds being worked into his program, but I have to tell you that with the daily stresses he is having those meds need to be given to him ASAP. You know something has to move towards helping him and the vacation while it will be fun it's also going to be a big stress on him. I would think it would be better to get him on something sooner than later, you are getting up against a time deadline now. You don't want to spend your vacation managing his outburst. Remember you aren't going to have his Dad to help you, while others here have offered to help no one else is Tyler's parent and sometimes kids need their parents to be in an okay place. I just hope that you can have some peace on the trip and to get that something has to give him a spot of rest. I think the meds are a path to that answer. Sorry for my rant at you, I hope you know I'm trying to help. You of course can let it slide off your back if you don't feel it's helpful.

Thanks Nan. No, you're not ranting at me. Because of his breakdown a few days ago and seeing how frustrated he is, I did mention it to his dad again, and now his dad is backsliding on me about meds again and unfortunately, I have to have his approval because of the legal arrangement we have in our custody order, or go through the court to order him to give him whatever the pediatrician prescribes if the court agrees. Besides, I doubt there's enough time before the cruise anyway. Since everybody reacts differently to different meds, it could take many weeks (took months for my nephew) of trial and error to find one that works, and even with meds, both the OT and psychologist told us that it will likely be many weeks before we see effects because he'll have to go through the process of learning new ways of expressing the stuff he's doing now. He has an appointment Monday to check the fluid in his ears again, so I'll ask the ped then, but I'm not sure she even knows much of what's been going on because we've been going to the OT and psychologist, not pediatrician.
