I will undoubtedly leave someone off this list, but thank you for all the little & big things you are doing to make this special trip even more special:

PJ - website designer and keeper of all relevant and irrelevant info.
Linda - The woman who knows people, for organizing group photos and preparing our mini-navigators, and holding our scrapbooking class
Calmom - Organizing fish extender teams (and offering to do so even when she thought she was going to have to cancel the trip. :scared1: )
Deb - Organizing the Champagne Girls
Karen - Planning our tasting. Can't believe she won't be joining us. We'll raise a glass in your honor. :sad1:
Edna Mode and the Lanyard Team
Carol - Maker of finest fish extenders on the seas
All the Fish Gift Teams
Ken - Magnet designer
Laura - our thread starter for getting us all started on this journey

Taysmom - A personal thank you in advance for not complaining to everyone about your lousy stateroom neighbors (and my apologies in advance for anything my boys do)

All the rest of you for making me laugh :lmao: at least once a day and getting me excited about this cruise.

So sorry if I left anyone off the list. Oh, the list! Thanks to our master listmaker Liserann.:cheer2:

This is what I did yesterday! I am holding a Burmese Python!

Thanks for organizing. Is DCL OK with us bringing our own alcohol for this event?

I have no clue as I have never done this before.....so I will defer to Karen who has done this a million times before. I'm not saying anything to DCL until I talk to Karen. I just asked for a room and they gave me a room. I didn't tell them what it was for just yet.

The TRS 80 I used did the same thing. My Commodore 64 was also plugged into the TV. But I had to wait a few months before I could purchase the floppy disk drive for the Commodore 64! Yep a computer with no hard drive and disk drive! I would program a game into it in basic and then pray that a power outage wouldn't hit while I was playing. When I was done with the game, I just turned off the computer and it was completely gone. I cherished my disk drive when I finally bought it!

my first computer was an Atari 1200. That came with an optional cassett tape drive that only took about 20 minutes to load anything. Thought the TRS-80 was ok but didn't have the graphics the Atari had.

Next computer was an XT clone with a 4.7 MHZ 88 processor and a full 64K of memory plus one of the first 3 1/2" disk drives ever used in an XT clone. (Later was able to add a 10 MB hard drive for just $300.) Also used to teach classes on MS-DOS 3.2 so I go back a day or two. :lmao:

how about advil and a wine?

these camcorders that use DVD's I am assuming they aren't the actual size DVD's right? How do you convert them?

they use tiny ones, but they will read in a regular dvd player

And XT is what Dennis built from spare parts.

I REALLY think we need a sign! I can find some not tearing white plastic, buy some green or blue paint and foam brushes, and we can have a sign! I ordered one from Windy City Novelties to hang off my balcony at the back of the ship.

Way to go Connie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

My 18-year-old nephew smokes, which just kills me. Nowadays you would think kids would know better. Once you start, it is sooooo hard to quit. Thankfully, I never started because I don't even have the will power to lose 10 pounds much less do something as difficult as quitting smoking. All of you who have managed to quit smoking, I applaud you.

Thanks.....going on four months for me.....since New Year's Eve.

Sorry, but I also have had experience with staff that I have had to put every little motion into a step. And I mean EVERYTHING. Also, I work with the Federal and Provincial governments. You need to outline every little detail...

It's become ingrained ...:guilty:

Obviously way behind but I wanted to comment on this...

Ken, as a learner I really appreciate directions with every little step. Thank you!!!

I was a remedial reading teacher for years. What I learned was how easy it is to THINK I've written a very clear communication or set of directions (for students or parents) only to find out that what I thought was very clear could be confusing or vague.
