Hey Ken...
One of the original mechanical sharks is still up on the Elizabeth Islands off Cape Cod... they left it there after it died...literally... the other sank to the bottom of the ocean...

I used to spend summers up at Martha's Vineyard where they filmed Jaws... down the street from the house they used to film the Sheriffs office...one night one of the guys caught a shark (a small one) off the porch and I never went swimming off there ever again... here's the house...

I have to get over there one of these days. could be really interesting.

My funny Jaws story is when I was about 10 or 12 or so I was watching Jaws one or two or both (I can't remember) on TV when just as the last show was ending, my buddy comes over and asks me if I want to go fishing with him and his dad. I spent the rest of that day watching for shark fins ... in a lake!
Didn't really want to catch anything either, just get back to dry land.

I love MV! Just seeing that pic made me homesick. Although I never "summered" or lived on the vineyard, I spent many days there visiting friends. And those summer cottages, just like my hometown in CT.

As for Jaws, my friend from college was an extra in the movie as he is a vineyard native. i have never seen the movie though......

Well, I got the Hep A and tetanus shot yesterday. I don't think the kids need them though. I think they had them when they were getting the Hep B when they were little? I need to check their shot records.

Got mine last week. Pediatrician feels DS is okay, no shots for him. But doctor has ordered shots for DW.

There is a shop right next to the Disney Sport clothing shop, it is attached actually. Nothing really Disneyish about any of the clothes in there, and slightly pricey.

BTW not sure if you know this or not....but there is a phone nbr for merchandise that you can call, ask them for something, and they will search the entire database and tell you where you can find said item on Disney property. I don't have that nbr but I do have the nbr for the Disney Operator (it's programmed into my phone ). 407-824-2222

I was thinking about getting my ears pierced, THANKS!!!!!! you've changed my mind.

Same thing happened to Brooke but she was a baby so I just took them out. When she wanted to get her ears pierced I tried to put them in and they were still open. Now she is fine and has had them in for a year. She won't let me change them but that's another story.
