Hi guys.

Not too much time to post or catch up. Sorry for not acknowledging what I am probably missing. Busy today running between the hospital and my dad's. My brother is out of ICU, feeling a lot of pain, but cracking jokes, so I am happy about his state of mind.

Two more days until Amy comes home, so I am counting the hours.

One post I do have to acknowledge that I did get to read . . . Tammy, one of your posts absolutely put me in tears. Beautiful sentiment, and from the heart. Thank you for sharing, but I did not have a chance to post when I read it from the office so that I could quote it.

Today's music of the day for all my old friends . . .

How about Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band from the Motor City?

One of my favorite songs "Against the Wind" . . .

And for a second from the old era . . .

Hall and Oates "You Make My Dreams Come True".

I've been escaping in music every chance I get to take my mind off of things.

Hope everyone is well, and having a great day - the weather has been gorgeous here, and Spring has finally come!

IAN! I LOVE all your pics but this one is so cute because she really does look like she's smiling! I've never seen a car that really looks like it has a face before...until now! I LOVE HER! :goodvibes

Thank you. The funny thing is that she also makes people smile when they see her.

Once again Holly is MIA.....hopefully she will have some time to check in here while at work next week. I really miss her frequency of being on here with us.
 Aw, it's nice to be missed. I miss being here too! Fortunately, my internet is cooperating because I was WAY too busy at work today to read much here. I still have quite a stack of work piled up on my desk, just waiting for me to return in the morning. :headache: That little old 80 year old dynamo was very hard to keep up with today! He really amazes me. :goodvibes

Unfortunately, I think I'm way too sleepy to stay up much longer and am still back on page 90-something I think, so I doubt I'll catch up before you all start a new thread. Oh well....there's always tomorrow! :thumbsup2 I'll keep at it maybe another 1/2 hour or as long as I can keep my eyes open.

John, I'm so glad to hear your brother is in good spirits. I've been wondering how he's doing, but I just read the initial post about him a few minutes ago and didn't want to ask until I heard what developed over the last couple of days (I'm 2 days behind on posts). You, Manuel, and your family will be in my thoughts & prayers.

Very good to know Amy will be home soon. You sure need her right now.

Well, I'm not a bit surprised! We need more cars on the road that make people smile like that. :goodvibes

I love this photo. Suzy the little blue coupe was one of my all time fav cartoons...along with the Brave Little Toaster!

just checking in from the game and I guess I shouldn't have left!
yikes!:scared1:

Same for us - our 10 yr celebration!!! Though we will be 11 years on 19th April....just a bit early!!:)

LOL! It will be our 10th Anniversary on April 18th, 2008. So we are keeping the celebration going through the cruise too.

So because we got married here in Western Canada, does that mean we actually got married on April 19th in Oz??

Hmmm this gives me an idea for yet another door magnet!!!

I LOVED Speed Racer.

Go Speed Racer! Go Speed Racer! Go Speed Racer! Go!
Me too! I'll have to get my videos out and watch them again this week! :cool1: "Here he come, here comes Speed Racer, he's a demon on wheels!" Now the whole song will be running through my head all night. ;)

I never heard of Suzy the little blue coupe. Have heard of the Brave Little Toaster, but have never seen it. My all time favorite cartoon was Underdog! I even had an Underdog lunchbox (the metal kind) in elementary school. (Liked Hong Kong Phooey too, but not as much as Underdog).

WOW!

Look at the Mach V!

AWESOME! I had no idea this was going to be a movie until hearing about it here.

Depends on the time of day, but yes sure!!!:)

With Richards gone I don't think it will be a problem.

As for the playoffs... Well the Canucks imploded pretty much like I figured they would. Interesting a friend of mine e-mailed my prediction back in June 2007 for the Canucks this year and I nailed it. I had said that they would ride Luongo too much and unless they picked up some grit and scoring they would have a hard time scoring goals to get them into the playoffs. So if I could have predicted that back in June 2007, why couldn't the Canucks managment and coaching see it too?? It was so sad to see Trevor Linden go out like that.

This year I am hoping for Calgary (my longshot and mainly because I really like Jarome Iginla as he is a class act), and Montreal (Carey Price is from down the road in Williams Lake and I think it woudl be great for the Habs to win while the Leafs are golfing - what can I say? I'm from the West, TO is a swear word out here...).

:lmao: Toronto is hated the same here, even more so as in the Toronto game both Alfredsson and Fisher were knocked out with knee injuries....I do not hold out much hope for them in the playoffs as they have just been soooo inconsistent this year..

Detroit meanwhile still has Hasek...he can either be the Dominator or Gumby....we will just watch and see.....I like Calgary as well...that Phaneuf plays D like it should be...
A picture speaks a thousand words....

Hi Everyone.....

Good and bad news.....

Good news: I think my eyes are going to be just fine. I could see today:cool1: with very little problems (I would say about 90% better)

Bad news: Due to my vision problems, I haven't been on the computer much and am now 50+ pages behind....I am sure I have missed a ton. I will try and skim some to catch up, but with the speed of new pages, that is unlikely.

Hope everyone is doing well.
Oh, I'm so glad your eyes are improving Kaylee. That must have been scary.

Someone asked about Frank today. Tomorrow he will have been out of the hospital for 1 week....I think that will be a record.

He is feeling a little better. The last hospital stay they changed all of his medication and I think this may be working better than any of the others. For you nurses, they have him on vacomicine (sp?) They say this is the last resort drug. I sure hope it works. He did go out to Starbucks with me and DH this morning....but he has slept most of the rest of the day. He is watching Game Show network all the time and he yells at the TV when the contestant makes a bad choice. DH and I laugh out loud. He is yelling at Lets Make A Deal and The Newlywed Game. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Here he is just a few minutes ago with Goldie.

Good news that he's been able to stay out of the hospital a week! Let's hope things only keep improving for Frank. :grouphug:

I am having a terrible day. I am so happy that I will be getting on one of the best cruiseships in the world for one of the best adventures of a lifetime in about a month to get away from it all.
 Oh Tammy, not only is it one of the best ships in the world, it's also going to be filled with some of the best fellow cruisers in the world! You'll be surrounded by hugs & love the whole time! :grouphug:
