Delta Update... I sent email to Delta about the baggage. This is there exact reply.

Thank you for contacting us.

Due to rising fuel costs and business decisions reflecting today?s competitive landscape, Delta will begin charging $25 for a second checked bag for Domestic passengers traveling on or after May 1st. This fee and baggage limitation affect non medallion members travelling on a economy ticket.

SkyMiles Medallion members, as yourself, and First/Business Class passengers will be exempt from this fee and will continue to be allowed to check up to 2 bags at no additional charge.

Also, we do offer an exception for Medallion members and First/ Business Elite customers. Please keep in mind that this is not a rule, but an exception that may be subject to availability and weight restrictions on the flight that you are on. This exception is for Delta aircraft only.

This exception will allow each passenger that falls into the above mentioned category, one additional piece of baggage at no charge and an exemption from the overweight fee for each bag that is 51-70 lbs.

Rarely does the weight and baggage issue keep us from offering this 3rd checked bag exception but, please be aware that it is possible.

Again, thank you for writing. We appreciate your selection of Delta and will always welcome the opportunity to be of service.

So for these airlines that are now charging for the 2nd piece of checked luggage, do you get a $25 discount on the price of the flight if you have NO checked luggage?

And when I look at expedia.com or kayak.com or any other such lfght search place, will it let me know the difference in price between an airline that is charging versus one that is not? Obviously, if I get one airline which allows 2 pieces of checked luggage with a flight at the same price as the Delta flight, the Delta flight now becomes $25 (plus taxes I bet too) more expensive (I like how they are then becoming more competitiveby increasing their prices).

Those that get charged the $25 fee by various airlines, I would be interested to know what taxes they apply to that fee. Will it vary based on where your departing/returning flight is coming from? Are there no taxes included? Yes as a Canadian I am often intrigued by taxation, we have so much of it here. :headache:

ok, I need ideas for a main dish for our spring luncheon, we are doing a ham, but for those that don't eat ham we were thinking a turkey but everyone nixed that as we have no way to keep it warm? Any ideas?

Chicken Salad on Croissant.

PJ, you've put a new photo of yourself up on the website - I like it!!!

I had that taken the day before I meet the Geeks for the very first time. How my life has changed, lol.

Ok, who is sharing a meal with me at Blue Bayou? Those plates are huge!

I mentioned on Saturday that I was taking DH to Fleming Steakhouse for dinner for his birthday. Not many had been there. Here's what I thought. The atmosphere was really nice - a little too dark when trying to read the menu - the assistant server even loaned me a little light to help out. They start by immediately bringing a place that has little toasts and two spreads: Kalmatta olive and wine and Pinot something cheese. It was really good. I had two of the best whiskey sours I've had in a long time too! Unfortunately for DH and DBIL, no beer on draft!

As for the meal - I had what was the best lobster I have every had in my life! It literally melted in my mouth! It as so tender and just the best tasting lobster ever. three of us had that and the others has prime rib which they said was awesome. So it was a good dinner and I would recommend the place - it was really nice.

They don't ship outside of the USA, I tried this afternoon, shot down.

Pj

I just spent 37.00. If I would have known I would have bought some for you. You get free shipping after 53.00 but I just couldn't buy anymore. I bought some for my niece who has a birthday while we're gone. Anyway, I'm off to get Ethan and take Brooke to the doctors. I will ask again about the shots.

Wow, check out all the typos!! You would think I hadn't been typing for a million years. I guess I need to slow down.

So, Susie a good time was had by all, what more can you ask for on a night out on the town, even though the men did not get to have their preferred beverage.

You are doing the smart thing, training for the cruise, nice meals out, relaxing. I know that I need to take a page out of that training manual.

Sorry! Do you know what you would have wanted to buy? Perhaps I could get it and bring it for you?

Oh, I already have too many little envelopes to give out on the ship, lol.

Besides even with powder my face seems to make the make-up disappear within about a half hour, no clue where it goes.

I live fairly close to Port Canaveral, so I could bring you whatever you need. You can order it and send it to my house if you wish, just pm me and I will give you my address.

Yea, I know what you mean. I was mostly excited about the brushes! I've used the same brand of make-up for so long now that I wouldn't change. But brushes can sometimes be expensive.
