Oh Ken that was such a father/man thing to say. Getting Shots is SOOOO not like getting your ears pierced. With the ears they get to immediately look and see how pretty they are, shots ugly red welt!!! Don't muddy the two together, they may loose their enthusamism for their ears

Are you assuming I don't have an earring? You should look closer at my pirate pic.

My DD6 had her ears pierced once before a few years ago. However, she ended up with an allergy to metal so she can only have gold and silver earrings - not the cheap $6 pairs that are so common at places like Claire's and Ardene's, you know the ones that are marketed to her age group with things like Hannah Montana.

Well she picked out a pair of earrings before we knew about the allergy,and one of her ears reacted. It was a real pain at times getting her to use the disinfectant and finally when we got the bad earring out she decided she no longer wanted earrings and let the holes grow over.

I DO NOT want to go through with that again. It will be just fine with me if she waits until she is MUCH MUCH older to get earrings.

So, everybody please keep your fingers crossed that Tyler doesn't get kicked out of spring break day care at the school this week. He was already kicked out of the after school care last Thurs and was also not allowed to attend the first day of spring break care on Fri. I'm on pins & needles all day here and jump whenever the phone rings! The teacher told me she thinks he'll do fine because it's LESS structured. Um.....LACK of structure is where he goes wacky!

FINGERS CROSSED EVERYBODY! I do have a back up for this week. My friend back home is off all week and offered to watch him if he gets kicked out, BUT she's an hour and a half away, so I'm really hoping I don't have to use that option. Dang kid!

breathe, it's not his fault. Have you gotten the script for his meds yet? You mentioned waiting for the doc appt. If you agreed with Dad why not call and get it going. it will take time to adjust for the right dosage too.

ok, I need ideas for a main dish for our spring luncheon, we are doing a ham, but for those that don't eat ham we were thinking a turkey but everyone nixed that as we have no way to keep it warm? Any ideas?

but still don't link the earrings to the shots, they aren't the same issue.
