Haley got the special horse.

Dr hug, I bet that was a GREAT bottle of tequila! Wish I could have been there to share it with ya!!!
It was excellent. AND you would have been very welcome. Like I said, I wish I would have bought two. (SIGH)! It was a numbered bottle. I have never had any Tequila quite like it.

We are doing ok. I am missing Dennis and anxious to get home. Our flight out is not until 7:45 tomorrow evening, so we are going to go see the Liberty Bell and Betsy Ross Home before we go to the airport tomorrow. It will pass the time. Then I have another night in Spokane before I can fly home Monday. Long, long days here.

One day nearer now Angie. I hate being apart from John too.

Wierd thing for you. In the last 2 weeks my 1 good eye (scared the you know what out of me) started to REALLY hurt and was very fuzzy. I play the piano in church and could not see the notes. I went to the eye dr. and I had bumps on my cornea. He had me switch contacts, go to clean and clear a chemical free eye cleaner and an allergy drop. If it does not work, I will be putting steriod drops in my eye.

Anyway, I ran out of the clean and clear he gave me, and went back to the regular solution. The pain was WORSE! The clean and clear was helping, it just took a while..

Just a thought.

Kim

Sounds nasty.

My TA, Kevin, called 2 times this week and I called once. The ship is overbooked still. I was on the phone with the cs rep, who was very nice, trying to straighten something out and she told me all about it... Don't know why that 4 keeps showing up, you can't book it anyway.

kim

OVERBOOKED///After allowing people to book the cancelled reservations a few weeks ago?

His spirits are actually pretty good. He was being sarcastic and cracking jokes this evening. Some of his good friends were there. My brother has many, many friends. He has been a kind soul that has given his life to his students over the years.

Thank you Kim for the info. I keep telling him stories like this. I told him, you have two choices - one leads to certain death, so you really have no choice. (can you tell I am the pragmatist of the family?)

Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts once again. I wish Amy were here . . .

I will have my Blackberry too . . . Are they "legal" in a hospital? I keep turning my phone off because of the "no cell phone" signs.

Thinking of you all. I imagine Amy will soon be home now yes?

We also got a really neat Med. book for the Med Repo. Of course, it was the first time. I think the first time Panama Canal Repo people would get more special gifts than we repeaters, but I don't care!

Going through the Panama Canal is one of the things on my list! It is so exciting for us! Connie

I was thinking we wouldn't be just as special as the first PC cruises.

I am watching TORCHWOOD. Does anybody like that show? I love it! Also the new Dr. Who.

Oh yes, John Barrowman. Dr. Who started yesterday but I wasn't impressed with the first episode, though the ending was a brilliant surprise.

Someone asked about Frank today. Tomorrow he will have been out of the hospital for 1 week....I think that will be a record.

He is feeling a little better. The last hospital stay they changed all of his medication and I think this may be working better than any of the others. For you nurses, they have him on vacomicine (sp?) They say this is the last resort drug. I sure hope it works. He did go out to Starbucks with me and DH this morning....but he has slept most of the rest of the day. He is watching Game Show network all the time and he yells at the TV when the contestant makes a bad choice. DH and I laugh out loud. He is yelling at Lets Make A Deal and The Newlywed Game. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Here he is just a few minutes ago with Goldie.

FrankandGoldie.jpg

Well things are lloking up if he has managed to get out to Starbucks. Shows he might have an interest in living.

I am having a terrible day. I am so happy that I will be getting on one of the best cruiseships in the world for one of the best adventures of a lifetime in about a month to get away from it all.

 Not long now.

It really sounds good when you say it!! I can't wait to meet you!! (and everyone else for that matter!!)
Lisa

I agree.

Coming back on board the boards . .

Ok I have been MIA the last month or so (not really sure anyone noticed) but I am trying to get back in to the swing of things. I do not even want to try to catch up I am just going to jump in. Since my last visit . . .

Three of us have had strep throat

my hubby came home from Iraq for a visit

we found out he will be going back to Iraq after the cruise

we have continued working on our kitchen remodel

we have signed the contract to put in a swimming pool on the side of our hill :) which means retaining walls and such, and a well

Planned a trip to DC the first week in July

My daughter fell and broke her arm on Thursday and will have it casted on Monday

Found out Delta changed our flight so now we are getting in to Orlando 3 hours later and having to change planes (good thing it is not on the day of the cruise)

Found out Delta is restricting luggage to one checked piece per person unless you pay as of May 1 - no execptions but at least American is not so we can ship items to Orlando with a suitcase and check them coming back

Found out a friend has 4-6 months to live with cancer

And I still need to:

Make my ballroom skirt
Make our fish extender
make packing lists
order matching t-shirts
do my taxes
get down suit cases
decide on what we are wearing on the cruise
and lots more . . . . .

But this is a quick update - I know others have had some major things going on and I am keeping you in my prayers - I know others have bigger problems than me - I am blessed even with my bumps in the road . . .

Oh, you have had a lot to deal with.

omg our nerighbor's house is hit...on fire and the firetrucks are here.

:scared1:

omg there are powerlines that exploded and are hanging everywhere. the firemen just yelled at all the people to get home (dh included) with the puddles and water and hanging powerlines that is a cause for disaster.

:scared1: :scared1: Take care.

It was excellent. AND you would have been very welcome. Like I said, I wish I would have bought two. (SIGH)! It was a numbered bottle. I have never had any Tequila quite like it.

I'll be sure to share some of Venetia's fave with you. It is some smooth stuff. It depends whatcha like. Some like the bite and true agave flavor of a blanco, but we prefer the anejos for sure. Gran Centenario Anejo is our fave so far.

pirate: pirate: pirate: Nice pirate Drhug!!! Borded and stole the loot and noone was the wiser!!! Pirate ye be!!!! aaarrgh!!!( post 2000)

Oh er uh, I forgot......Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrpirate:

Thanks Bubba.:worship: :rotfl: :rotfl: I am glad somebody noticed. :thumbsup2 I didn't.

Hi Granmaz!!! G'nite Granmaz!! Just skip right over the drunken babble of the last 50 to 60 pages or so!:rotfl2:

Will you all stop chatting? I', not going to get through catching up before I have to go out!:rolleyes1

Tammy it's ok to have some bad days......I have had a very weepy month.....I cry at the slightest little thing and at everything. I lost my mom eight months ago and have been feeling it the worst recently. I think because this month is Greek Easter and that was a huge celebration in my family with mom. This will be my first without her during it and it will never be the same again. Then we have the first mother's day coming up right after Greek Easter. I am soooooooo going to need this cruise. It can't get here fast enough. It's been a hard four years that my mom had been sick.....while I was in shock and going through the motions I was fine. I was relieved that she wasn't suffering anymore. Now.....I'm jello, I can't stop crying. It hurts and I miss her. It's so much harder now than when it happened.

John, you said the same thing about losing your mom. It's so much harder now a year later than it was when it happened. Every little thing is a memory and it comes flooding back and you feel your loss.

Just this morning I had to go get a blood test and drive by mom's block for the first time since it all happened. I immediately burst out in tears. It's everything all around me that reminds me of her and the fact that it's the first time in my life that she's not here.

It will get worse before it gets better and it's ok. But it will get better!

So Tammy you are in good company here. It's ok. Just cry! Feel what you're feeling and let it out! We are all here to share with you and help.

Deb, :grouphug:

Who is Shaun Cassidy?

What???

Hmmmm. I don't remember if I mentioned my first concert or not? Am I here? :lmao: It was Herman's Hermits, The Bobby Fuller Four, The Midnighters, The Lovin' Spoonful, The Turtles (I think), The Great Scots, and some other band I can't remember, cause nobody ever heard of them since the concert. ????? At the ROSEBOWL. Admission was a dollar.

http://www.hermanshermits.com/articles/radiomags/aug23_65_kfwb_p3.html

Hey, there was an old radio website that had the article posted. WOW. Memories. It was about a week before the Watts Riots! I don't think the riots were a result of the Concert, although with bands like that you never know....(jk):rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ah now - Herman's Hermits. I loved them. Same era Dr Hug!!!

My first concerts were the Monkee's and Herman's Hermits.:rotfl2: Looking back though, the coolest thing was that The Who opened for Herman's Hermits. I got to see The Who as an opening act! Needless to say, they put Herman's Hermits to shame.

I have been aggravated for the past few days because I just found out that my present favorite performer, Kid Rock, will be here while we are on our cruise. Tickets went on sale today.:sad2: I know, I know, poor me, I have to go on a 15 night DCL cruise.

Donna

The Monkees - great programme.

See we are on the same page. What about Johnny Depp?

Hi Marilyn,

Yes, I was just kidding. I liked all of the groups. I think there were about 40 thousand at that concert. That was huge back in those days. The Beatles only pulled in 20,000 in Portland in 1965. That was quite a summer for me, then I went in the Army from Montana in December of 1965.

Just waiting for Angie to get home, having some fun on the boards. I still don't remember the Guilloteens. Terrible name for a band huh?

I better get to bed. Angie will be home Monday night when I get home. YAY !!   :sad1: til then.

Good Morningand good night!
