I got my crocs that are a wedge and cute - black and white and found some Easy Spirit "traveling clogs" in white. They are actually almost as comfortable as crocs. I like the Mary Jane ones from Journeys. Those are cool.

OK - girls called - they were almost done - but decided to wait until DL closed at midnight which is only 15 minutes from now but don't think I can wait the lids are closing fast and DH is sawing away. Wish I could fall asleep just like that. On another note - those staying at the GC - you have got to try the chicken nachos - DD and I devoured them earlier this evening and I have a craving for more. Too bad they closed at 9 pm :sad2:

Oh Nan, that would be so cool.....Wil will love you forever! I hope you can get it done. I have no idea how to do any of that stuff. I just ask DH. If he can find any art like that I'll let you know.

thanks deb :goodvibes

bedtime for me.

Steph we're on for Sunday :thumbsup2 waiting to hear what time....

Tomorrow is the day.

I pick up Mrs. Fezziwig. Very excited.

I did have to spend some quality time calming down Mrs. Bennett.

The toaster is feigning indifference, and the vacuum cleaner still just su... well let's not go there.

.

Ian, tonight I saw a Smart Car, right here, in my own little city! So exciting!

And I finally realized what the Smart Car reminds me of....

C'mon Cheri and use your PSE to colour it in!

Hey, I got it loaded on my laptop and it seems to run fine! I was playing around with it earlier this evening. I'm house-sitting this weekend, so figured this would be a good opportunity to try some things. I'll let you know if I'm able to figure out the coloring in thing!;) But not tonight...bedtime for me!

So is everyone asleep? The wife and I are sitting here playing Scrabble on the computer, listening to Hannah Montana 2, having a few drinks (rum and coke for her and rye and coke for me) and reading the DIS.

Where is everyone else?? It's only 12:26am here ... and I bet the girls are gonna get up at 7am. Oh well, Shannon's turn to get up early this weekend. :rotfl:

Who's turn it is to get up with the girls depends on who wins the scrabble game, and I'm currently kicking butt :cool1:

Goodnight now! I've been TRYING to make some magnets but have decided to give up for the evening! Hopefully tomorrow will be better!!! And unfortunately I will be the one getting up with my girls at 6 am! So I better go to bed now!!! And Ken thanks again for the magnets you made...at this point at least we'll have something!!!

Speaking of magnets...

I just found these:
http://www.magnacard.com/

They are business card peel'n'stick magnets. This way you can print them out using Word on just regular paper and then stick them on the magnets. These seem to be better than the Avery sheets I had used in the past because if there was an error in the print job (off kilter, bad ink, etc.) you wasted a whole sheet of the magnets. These are also a lot cheaper. Here in Canada I found them at Staples for $30 for 50 magnets.

Lots more room for error is a good thing. Now I haven't actually tried them out yet but already they seem better than what I have used in the past.

Kathe-:grouphug: I'm sorry. I'm glad you get to see your grandchild though.

Deborah- :grouphug: Try not to feel guilty about not visiting there was no way to know. I felt the same way when my DGMa passed she was my favorite grandparent and it was not an easy flight from AZ to PR or cheap with two young kids and when I looked into it it was too late even for the funeral...I still feel guilty:sad2: Just need to realize there was no way of knowing.

Angie:grouphug:looking forward to seeing you home and back on the DIS soon.

Ken- glad your wife started posting.... "Hi" Welcome to the DIS

Hi

I have not see her for a long times, I always think right we go up and visit them after Olivia's cochlear implant check up which was not far from them. Never did it.

My brother texted me last night he was very upset too and feel guilty not visited them. Her ex wife said that she is not going to funeral and send the flowers. I wait and see when and where the funeral will be. Maybe I should send the flowers and keep happy memory of her.

For any of you that have them to spare, my brother could use some prayers his way . . .

He found out that he has a mass in his colon, and on Sunday he will have surgery to have part of his colon removed. While pathology results are not yet back, I think they are pretty sure it is cancer. The only question is whether or not it is localized or has spread, and whether or not it is treatable beyond the surgery. My brother is 5 years younger than me - only 42.

Good night everyone!

John, I am praying that it is not b l o o d y cancer sorry for swear. He is still young too.

I send you my

I am so sorry to hear this. Cancer runs in my family and it is a terrible disease. But they can do amazing things these days. Hugs and prayers for you and your family.

Yes, I lost my parent when I was very young. Both died of cancer. Doctor told me that they got fault genes cancer.:sad1: that times my brother and I could not bring it up or speak about cancer.

Deb, I used the term 2 boys in referring to Ian and Keith, I call Paul and Wilson my boys, one is big and one is little. Sorry for the confusion.

We four are going to the space shuttle place on Friday and I wondered if your boys want to join us? Maybe we should just meet up there if it works out?

Nan

S I L L Y M E :rotfl2: I thought you mention that 2 boys mean I thought I got two sons:rotfl2: I got it now

I will speak to Ian and we are going out tonight to Casino for meals and gamble which Ian was looking forward last week Saturday turn out his Surprise Party:rolleyes1 So we see Alison and David tonight and I will tell them about it.

will email you okay.

wow - finally got caught up! busy, busy place!

Every era has crazy fads - I had the karate shoes, or at least I had what I thought were karate shoes. Hair was only moderately big - it was too thick to stay up, and I wasn't motivated enough to put in big effort :lmao:

Now DD6 wears crocs (well, knock-offs anyways). She's loves them.

Really enjoyed Enchanted popcorn:: Its a cheesy musical - gotta love it. It was a bit too much for Ken, but it gives me the warm and fuzzies :teeth:

Been listening to DD6's Miley Cyrus CD every morning this week, and feel very unprofessional at work today, with her GNO song repeating through my head

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes:dance3:

Hello Sharon

You must be fed up waiting for it as Ken stole your computer and he spend all the time on this forum!! Just like me. Ian hardly used the pc or laptop which I always on it:surfweb:

Good to hear from you and love that picture too.

Won't be long now for our Cruise :woohoo: :woohoo:

Tomorrow I'll be taking my dad to the hospital to see him - we have not told dad yet all that is going on.

Amy and I talked tonight, and we have had family illness and hardship follow us on our last cruises. My mom passed away the week of our last cruise with the Geeks, right before we left. We had a funeral and left the same day. Now my brother's illness, and I can only pray that they have caught it in time.

Thanks for letting me share. It has not been very happy around here lately, and my thoughts are with all the rest of you who have had family and friends illness and worse to deal with . . .

Good night everyone!

John, I am so sorry that your brother is sick. Sending hugs and prayers  I hope the surgery goes well and that you can enjoy this cruise worry free. What a hard time for all of you.Your brother and dad are blessed to have you there to help give support. My thoughts are with you and Amy and Sophia
Kathe

John, so sorry to hear your news about your brother. He is far too young and I pray it is caught early enough and treated successfully.

Prayers for you and your father as you have to deal with this too.

Then include me as well. Marilyn and I share the same Birthday.

:cool1:

OK....sitting at my desk crying. Thank goodness nearly everyone has gone home. It's been such a long hard week...doing two jobs while sick...I can't wait for this trip! :grouphug:

Jackie,

I hated getting dressed for PE...

In my day, believe it or not, we wore gym knickers, thick navy ones!!! A note had to be taken to ask to wear shorts when necessary! That was horrible in our teenage years?
