Well, Angie just called and she is on her way home. :goodvibes

:grouphug:

I am patiently waiting :yay: :yay: :yay: :flower3: :cloud9:  .

thanks Marilyn, I just went outside to see if we'll be able to swim, it's still warm enough - tomorrow it is supposed to go back down again. I plan on jogging when I get home and then taking the girls in the pool.

supposed to be diving tomorrow - if the severe storm warnings lift.:confused3

Good positive attitude! I like it. Gotta remain focussed on what is important to you at this point.

As an employment counsellor I have a little activity I do with people in my Job Find Clubs.

I have each of them take out a piece of lined paper. Down in the very bottom right hand corner I have them write the word YES. Take up about 3 lines so it stands out and is pretty big. Now, using the rest of the sheet write the word "no" normally as many times as it takes to fill the rest of the paper up.

Now, everytime that you get a rejection letter or are told that you didn't get the job, cross off one of the No's. Each time you get a rejection letter think of it as being one step closer to actually getting the YES. It helsp to turn those "No's" into something positive because now you know you are closer to gettng what you want.
Ken, that's a great idea! I've actually never heard that one before. I'm actually a very positive person by nature, but thanks for that tip. I'll definitely do it! :goodvibes

I'm not really sure what I want because I have never been but I am wondering why most people have late dining? I feel like I'm missing out on something.:confused3

We just like to eat late because we stay up late, it also gives us the time to not rush thru anything in the afternoon. Really it's what you prefer. When do you eat dinner at home?

Ok I am getting worried. I still haven't heard back from txaggie94gigem , who was it that had her e-mail. She is our fishmail leader and I don't know what we are doing. I don't want to do anything without her if she is coming back.

I saw her on another thread but can't remember which one.

and don't forget the pictures and an updo as well. :scared1:

I'm confused on how I did this on my other cruise. I got my hair done and saw some shows and took pictures everynight....ok, I'm sure of the picture time it was around 6pm. I wonder if I had early dinner and didn't realize it. I was with a group of DIsers so I just followed what I was told, I'll go back and ask them....

Fireworks for pirate night-be upstairs by 10:25 p.m. They go off somewhere around 10:28 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. They last 3 minutes and 21 seconds (sorry, I've videotaped so many times, I know the exact length!)

Linda:

That cracks me up, to the minute....I'll time ya :thumbsup2

I'm going to see if I can get Paul to get a new video camera soon. I want a new one for the cruise.

Also, I saw a small printer on Clearance at Staples, it might be that one that either Carol or Angie said they had. Can you please remind me of the model number...

One thing that really impresses us with your country is your praise of your forces fighting overseas. Whilst I realise not everyone will feel the same, we do get a feeling you value your troops.

In our country we are very bad at valuing our service personnel, but we have just reached a new low. One city, Peterborough, is close to an air force base, and the service personnel are being verbally abused when seen in uniform in the city because the abusers don't agree with our deploying troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.:sad2: So, they have been told not to wear uniform when out in the city!:confused3

That is just terrible. We have good friends from England and they are always talking about the freedoms and personal rights that seem be be trodden on in England. It almost seems like the people who are working and doing important work are dis-respected there now.

I saw her on another thread but can't remember which one.

That's strange. I pm'ed her a week ago but she hasn't responded. I will e-mail Deb(allears) and she what she thinks. I just don't want to wait to long to get stuff.

OK all I am off to pick up my daughter and sell some girl scout cookies!

Nan and I were talking about having the girls earn a badge on this trip. How many of you have scouts? Would any of you want to do a small project to earn a badge? Could you daughters pack their vests along for a photo op with their "Dis Troop sisters"?

I suppose I will be replying to your answers in the new thread tonight. Will talk about it more there as I think it would be a really cool once in a lifetime thing for the girls. Oh and if any of your girls in other countries are girl guides they are welcome as well! :thumbsup2

I glanced thru the badge book but didn't find anything that directly related to our travel, I'm not giving up. I'll ask a friend that finds a way to wiggle everything. And for sure Molly will bring her vest. I think I'll have Wilson bring his scout shirt too.

We eat at 6 but we are on the west coast. We also stay up late. I was worried about not getting to dinner in time, especially on part days. Now that I know that the parties are after dinner, I'm not that worried about eating in the dining room every time we are at port. I want to experience the ports and maybe even eat there but I don't want to miss the parties.

The only time they did an afternoon show that I can remember is when they premiered Twice Charmed and I believe they added an afternoon show so the cast members could have another opportunity to perform it.
Do you remember that on premier day they had to interrupt one of the performances due to rough seas?

We do an early dinner...always have with children. The reason we like the early one is we have a toddler so a long dinner time is just not possible. We are usually one of the first done. We still enjoy every quick minute of it! I also like to go to the shows after dinner...I too was surprised so many are on late dining, but makes sense for the reasons why people have chosen it.

:confused3 I thought we had "early" or "main" seating, but it looks like we are "late". :confused3 I have no idea why, since we eat early at home! Oh, well, our whole schedule is messed up when we are on the cruise,it seems like we eat all day!

HEY! Is everyone wearing Pirate Garb for Pirate night? I still can't decide what to wear for Mexican night....Is full, flowery skirts the way to go? Peasant blouses? Hibiscus in the hairdo?
Whatever I bring for the special nights will have to be worn other times, too!

I need fashion help!

Brooke is a Daisy but I'm not sure what she can earn. She just started about 2 months ago and she has earned three petals and one patch. I'm sure she would love to bring her smock. Her uniform looks like pjs!

That would be great! Daisy's can't work on badges/patches, but our big girls would love to have her in a girl scout picture for sure :thumbsup2

Perhaps our older girls can work with some younger girls on their stuff and ours can then move towards their junior aiders, or the like...

The Auburn web says an arrest has just been made in Pheonix, Al. I wish they would get on the news and tell details.

Remember we have 15 days to enjoy. Maybe somedays you'll stay in port other days not.

One thing I'm going to try not to do with this trip is stress out about trying to do EVERYTHING. I'm a total over planner about Disney and I want to enjoy it all, but there is too much to do it all. Use this as a taster cruise. Get what you can and what you miss try again the next time. All is good :thumbsup2
