2 dogs, 1 turtle, 1 rabitt = petsitter...$40+ per day :scared1:

15 days on the Magic = priceless.

We are lucky in that starving brother stays at the house to petsit....Of course we need to feed him and pay for gas........(perhaps you have a better deal after all!!!)

If my college age pet sitter was available, it would be $150 for the 18 days. BUT she only comes out every other day. I have a cat, who would prefer to be indoors, so she comes up cleans the box, refills food and water and pets her. She lets her outside if she wants. I have a very strange cat. She doesn't want to be loved or looked at, unless you aren't looking at her. Right now she's sitting on my feet. If I tried to pet her, she'd run away...so strange!

We have two cats - one like yours, one is a lover - both were rescue cats.

Oh, yes and birds and turtles and plants that need watering.

A little question for you wine connoisseurs out there.

My wife and I are NOT wine drinkers. I will occassionally have a drink of wine but my wife has never really acquired a taste for it.

She doesn't mind champagne tho, and last time at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival she discovered she likes Creme de Cassis in the champagne. However, we have been trying different types of wines lately (ok about 4 or 5 so far) to see if we can find something she likes. I pretty much will drink any type so far. Recently she tried a white zinfandel and didn't mind it.

We noticed that there was one on the wine list for the cruise - Beringer White Zinfandel. So we went to the local Liqour store and bought a bottle and she didn't mind it either. But ... the 750ml bottle only costs $10 here. Online I think the price was $26.00 for on the ship.

So now the question: Is this for the same size bottle or is it bigger????

Ahh, now you know why we are brining wine on the ship - the prices are inflated.....

FYI - if you bring a bottle and have it opened in the dining room, there is a $15.00 corking fee.

And no, it is not larger -- the same size ....

love wine..and that price on the ship is for the same size bottle.
Do you guys like sweet.....dry....?

Dry - and we like mostly reds - other than Fairy Tale Champagne which is brut....

Pinot Noirs, Merlots, Chanis, Shiraz, and I like Cabs, too dark for DH.

I took a wine test - what I "test" for and what I like do not match.

For the wine lovers, Disney offers a wine package - you buy the regular or premium wine and then can have them "follow" you as you dine. We did this for a 7 day cruise and did not find it a good fit. For one thing, DH and I did not share the same taste. We had two open bottles to start the first day - that confused the servers. Plus, we wanted the wine to last the entire week. If you are not looking the servers pour another glass, which then does not make the week last. Also, they bring the unopened bottle for the next meal, but we wanted a different wine. And when we tried this in Palo's the wine did not follow to the next meal They were nice and made up for the unopened bottle but it was a bit of a mess. Then, if you have a new server, your table mates get treated to your wine. Nice table mates, but not my wine.....So, all in all, we decided not to try this again. Instead, we bring wine on board and bring one glass to dinner.....Our bar tabs are high enough without the wine.

Since I am catting by myself this morning.....Here is the full version of yesterday's horror...

Good Morning All - Monday again - back to work.....at least I can get some rest.

Sunday was a strange day. It started out fine, a few posts on the Dis, church and then.....

We did not go over to our friends, which we ofter do, nor did we go out for breakfast (turned out this was a good thing).

Called Mother as we were to take her to dinner - she was feeling poorly, and cancleed. (turned out this was a good thing - not that she was sick, but that we did not plan to take her to dinner).

Arrived home and I decided rather than working in the house or garden I would paint the front door. I started the house in 2004 and then the hurricanes arrrived so I never finished, the front door or the back artwork around the door. The front door was a mess --- it was what I thought was a "free day" - sunny, not too windy and no diving or plans. HAH....

So, it was time to find the paint - that required cleaning out the back floor of the utility room to unearth all the paints and brushes and etc. (A good thing because we are slowly trying to clean and sort the utlity room of all useless stuff, dirt and cat hair).

Found the sander, the primer, the masking tape and got started. Coat 1 on.

While waiting the requisite hour, I started cleaning. Coat 2 of primer on.

Still cleaning - the post hole diggers have made a rusty spot on the floor. Enlist Sam's help - he was doing laundry. He finds the rust remover and starts on the spot - and then :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
Rust is everyone ----ok - rust is under the water heater and it is leaking.

Know where this is heading - yup. water heater completely rusted out on the bottom.

So, we decide it is a good time to upgrade to one of the tankless water heaters that save on electricity (Go Green) HAH. They dave on electricty because most of them run on LP gas or propane (Not an option). The electric ones are not large enough to run two showers at once - you can get electric ones by mail-order but hey, we need one now. Nope, not at HD not at Lowes.

I will spare you the rest of the day, resulting in very sore muscles due to tugging and heaving and lifting and carrying and crawling into the attice for jakcs to take the camper off the truck....whew......

Oh, the door is not done, but it has a white coat of paint hiding the primer which will be sanded and then painted with the right color - assuming I have another "free day".

Sam put the new (2004 purchase) door hardware on the door and we drove, not walked, to the corner grill for dinner....And we had a HOT bath.

I would rather have been posting on the Dis.....

Oh well, off to do more laundry....now we have hot water again. DH alreqady at work....he left at 3:30 am - hope he feels better than I do.

OK John, I've thrown down the gauntlet:
Now let's see YOUR picture!!!

What a great yearbook picture!

Ian, would you like to explain where Mouse Manger came from?

Pj

Mouse Manager came from PJ ....

Actually, PJ posted on the DVC forums back in about April or May of 2006 (or was it 2005 PJ?) and wanted to know if anyone knew there was a DVC points program for the Macintosh.

No one was developing anything for the Mac. There was a program out there, but the developer said that they had no intention of ever supporting the Mac.

I replied back to PJ's posting that I had some ideas about how Filemaker Pro could be used to create one.

Then 2 years of my life proceeded to get sucked into a black hole.

What was supposed to just be a DVC point calculator and contract management program grew and grew and grew.

It kept evolving and became a full vacation planning tool, that ran not only on Macs but on Windows PCs a well.

There are now over 600 registered Mouse Manager users worldwide.

Via the Mouse Manager web site and restaurant menu buttons, Mouse Manager has over 200 WDW restaurant menus. Via the web site there is also a full featured Amazon style restaurant rating and review system, where registered users can rate restaurants and write reviews.

I think this is going to be a powerful feature as I know that I always want to know what other people think of a restaurant when I'm making my own plans.

I'm now starting to work on Mouse Manager Version 2.0. It will be a major redesign and try to further unleash the potential it has. I also want to develop a cruise module for managing cruise plans and land/sea vacations.

Did I tell the story right PJ?

.

Well, Ian

Yes I posted a question (in 2006, that would be when I first went Mac), but the shape, form and function of MM, is entirely Ian. He is amazing when it comes to working through a project.

Linda should have ended her cruise yesterday, so hopefully she will be along to tell us all about it.

Also Holly might be able to check in from work.

Good morning! Sheets in the washer, I hate to change the bed. But then again I hate anything having to do with cleaning!

That's me too!!! Though I love having the clean bed!!!:lmao:

Clean sheets I love!

Did you check and see if you had a room? None for me this morning. My DH doesn't get it. He keeps saying that they may not have room for us to go. I told him we are on the boat just don't have our room# yet. I think he may be secretly hoping that DCL calls and say sorry you can't go.

No room yet!:sad2: I keep telling myself that if we were booked into a hotel we wouldn't know our room number till we check in.
