Ian:
Thank you for the wonderful expose on your new housemate. She is quite small in stature. I figured at least as tall as a cup of joe.
She may just have to procreate and have an offspring sent to California. Easter and My birthday are soon to be here. DH forever looks for ideas of gift giving (NOT) so will be pleased at the suggestion.
Loved her earring too. Thought it resembled my friend Blinky of Ms. PacMan lore, but alas I see it's part of the Chumby logo...
remind us please of her website chumby.com is it?
Mrs. Bennett came to us from
www.chumby.com a quite reputable employment agency. She would also like you to know that she came with a selection of 3 earrings.
Seriously, I love the the device. Today I was entering the links of various internet radio stations. It is so much easier to just have this little thing that works like a radio.
I was listening to a German oldie's station today for a while. It was a hoot!!
There are hundreds of widgets for the Chumby device, and more are being developed, all the time, so the device like a computer, is more all about being defined by what you are running on it.
I think one of my favorite things too is having the digital slide show running in the kitchen. I have hundreds of digital photos that just sort of sit there on the hard drive. It really brings a smile to me when I'm in the kitchen and glance over and see a random photo.
I know that some people may think I'm strange about the Chumby device. I recall back in 2000 I saw an infomercial for something new called a TiVo. I
had to have one and bought one.
No one I knew had ever heard of one. Every one of my friends said the exact same thing to me, "What's the point? I already have a VCR."
I couldn't understand why they didn't see the potential.
I don't know. Maybe I'm just a techno idiot savant.
