"This old man....he plays three...he plays knick knack on my knee..." (yeah...I probably got the words wrong... I had a stange upbringing...)

Sounded just right to my ear

You're calling me that for the entire cruise, now aren't you???

that is your name isn't it?

Nan... is she a lady in waiting??? she should be for that reception... ;)

I'll have to privately address the qualifications with her...you know we might have more people trying to barge the court if we leak this info....

:surfweb:

Is it an orange bag?

it's green, I'll have to find it and take a pic and post...bringing back such nice memories. We honeymooned in London. At the Ritz for a couple of nights, then moved to another hotel, I think it was called the Whitehouse. Then stayed a few days with my cousin as I was feeling ill (morning sick and cold together) and we had to cut our trip short. I still owe Paul a week of driving around the Lake district...

We always have to pack our own shopping apart from one or two quick tills. We have a US Air force base close by with quite a few US folk, both military and civilian living in and near Harrogate. Sometimes when they first come you see them waiting for their shopping to be magically packed!!!!!!

yes, I just don't like to bag my own stuff....

Hi everybody, just a quick note. I'm alive and well, but my computer isn't. It finally died Friday and I'm way back on page 77 of this thread, so I'll likely not be able to keep up. Just checking quickly at the public library. I'll be at my mom's tonight and can try to check here if she'll let me use her computer, but she's pretty possessive of it. :lmao:

My computer just went "pop" and the screen went blank. Computer was still running though, so it's just the screen. Will take it to see how much it will cost to fix it as soon as I have time, but that probably won't be until Tuesday after work because we're busy today and tomorrow, and Monday is karate for Tyler after work.

If anybody wants to keep in contact in the meantime, I can check e-mail while at work, so you can use my yahoo e-mail: hollyntyler@yahoo.com. :grouphug:

I MISS YOU ALL!

At least you do still have internet access at work so you can still come out to play that way. :thumbsup2

Chatty chatty...

Love the chumby report! I'm glad she is settling in in chicago.

We went to "camp fair" today, sponsored by the American Camping Association. I had no idea how expensive camp was...holy cow! We found a bunch that taylor would like to do, including a few sleep away camps. They even had the camp I went to...OMG...Camp Loma Mar..anyone go there?

My step-dad owns a skin care place here (he is a dermatologist) and my mom manages it. They do spray tans and they are great. The best part is they don't charge me!!! So I will be doing that before the cruise. It is a very strange feeling standing there while someone airbrushes you but it looks great and stays on for awhile too. I can't get in the sun without sunscreen (red hair, freckles, and fair skin).

Me too - but I wear long sleeves to the beach and snorkel in a skin......too much sun in Florida - but it is nice.....expecially today - we were diving, it is cold underwater on days like today - about 40 minutes at 70 degrees...brrr....

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz tired after the dive - no way can I keep up with the thread today....must zzzzzzzz.

I'll see if we have any good pictures to post later....much later.....

It's our Mother's Day tomorrow. I have already received a plant arrangement and a bowl of hyacinths which I love.

I tell my children not to bother as my daughter and 2 daughter in laws are mothers themselves now and need to be pampered.

This year I get to have 2 Mother's Days!!!
that's so nice you think of your DIL on mother's day since they have little ones...two Mother's days sounds great to me:goodvibes

Well that would be a more fun explanation then my house cleaning one!
I was hoping Holly was busy with her "friend" too.

Hey...gabby twins...any of your kids go to sleep away camp in the bay area? Any recommendations?

Ooh..good idea nan.
I brought home the book our librarian gave me. She's supposed to send me links to additional stuff...I'll make sure to forward them on this site.

Ian:

Thank you for the wonderful expose on your new housemate. She is quite small in stature. I figured at least as tall as a cup of joe.

She may just have to procreate and have an offspring sent to California. Easter and My birthday are soon to be here. DH forever looks for ideas of gift giving (NOT) so will be pleased at the suggestion.

Loved her earring too. Thought it resembled my friend Blinky of Ms. PacMan lore, but alas I see it's part of the Chumby logo...

remind us please of her website chumby.com is it?

Mrs. Bennett came to us from www.chumby.com a quite reputable employment agency. She would also like you to know that she came with a selection of 3 earrings.

Seriously, I love the the device. Today I was entering the links of various internet radio stations. It is so much easier to just have this little thing that works like a radio.

I was listening to a German oldie's station today for a while. It was a hoot!!

There are hundreds of widgets for the Chumby device, and more are being developed, all the time, so the device like a computer, is more all about being defined by what you are running on it.

I think one of my favorite things too is having the digital slide show running in the kitchen. I have hundreds of digital photos that just sort of sit there on the hard drive. It really brings a smile to me when I'm in the kitchen and glance over and see a random photo.

I know that some people may think I'm strange about the Chumby device. I recall back in 2000 I saw an infomercial for something new called a TiVo. I had to have one and bought one.

No one I knew had ever heard of one. Every one of my friends said the exact same thing to me, "What's the point? I already have a VCR."

I couldn't understand why they didn't see the potential.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just a techno idiot savant.

Oh, and btw..I don't know how to use powerpoint. I have office powerpoint..don't know if thats the same or compatible? I can definately send the information to whomever wants to take the point.

Hey...gabby twins...any of your kids go to sleep away camp in the bay area? Any recommendations?

Molly is doing I think 2 this summer. 2 weeks at Sons of Norway camp near Tahoe, Norweigan culture, dancing, lanuage etc...

Then Daybreak Camp in Felton, one week. It's owned by our church.

Perhaps a girl scout camp, we haven't looked at them yet, but will need to soon they fill up fast.

I'm going to have a peaceful summer, no fighting kids!!! Now if I could get little brother to go too!!!! (he might go to Norway camp too)

non disposable. use it over and over again, or a lifetime of use.

We have strong plastic carrier bags they sell for about 20p that last a lot longer, then they exchange them for free when they wear out.

I decided today that I wanted to do some advanced payment for our onboard charges.

I sat down today to do a projection of our onboard charges for the trip, thinking through the trips, the excursions and how much we might spend on extras, Palo, trips to Cove and fruity-fatty-boozy drinks.

I opened my eyes, having realized that I was lying on the floor because I had passed out from the projected amount.

I dutifully called DCL and put my money down. There was then a sharp noise in my ear, and I was lying on the floor. I had passed out again and the phone was off the hook.

So, this has been a thrilling day. Ordering tuxedos, prepaying fruity-fatty-boozy drinks and taking cheesecake photos of Mrs. Bennett.

I always thought it was sunny in FL until I moved here...my parents moved out here said it was too sunny(I guess there is such a thing) too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I had to come inside its warm outside with the sun beating down on me. I actually have to start putting sunblock on my DK again...I am not looking forward to 120 degree weather out here:eek: I know its coming. And yes 70 degree in our pool its too cold too ....brrr. Looking forward to the pictures...sounds fun:goodvibes
