Join in. They (your boys) will like ours on the Panama Canal Day for sure. Lisa could answer this of course, but I bet some are nickknacks, others are paddywacks and an occasional bone.

Just join. If it's junk throw it out when you get home.

"This old man....he plays three...he plays knick knack on my knee..." (yeah...I probably got the words wrong... I had a stange upbringing...)

Back at ya Queenie :worship:

You're calling me that for the entire cruise, now aren't you???

We are back and got total Techno immersion tonight! We liked the music (reminded us a bit of Disco with more beat, but along the same line) and the kids had a great time. There were 5 boys who did all the orgainzation for this whole gig and the school staff that was there was AMAZED at how well it went and how much fun the kids had. They also were AMAZED at the amount of money the boys raised for the band. Over $1700 after all their expenses, which were few because they got almost everything donated. The school staff were also amazed that they got so much donated stuff. :thumbsup2 Anyway they are stoked and cannot wait for Monday when they can share with their band teacher how much money he is getting for his program. They were hoping to make at least $600.

:thumbsup2 :cool1: :thumbsup2 :cool1: WAY TO GO!!!

The cake is baked! I am just adding some icing on top. Should we have the red carpet rolled out when the limo comes to the port in Cali? :rotfl2:

Nan... is she a lady in waiting??? she should be for that reception... ;)

Hello Everyone

Pardon my bad memory, but can someone direct me to who amongst us has the beautiful cheerleading daughter that was in HSM? Some fantastic photos were posted here, and now I cant find them - my 6yr old is a HSM fanatic and wants to see them - HELP!!!:confused3

Thankyou!!:)

I think that was seaulater

That was Linda seaulater.... (she is currently on the Wonder - or at least was until this morning... :cloud9: )

Welcome back Linda!!! Only 70 more days until you cruise again!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Someone used the contact form at www.mousemanager.com to email regarding "Shots Around the Ship" but whoever you are, I think you emailed me your disname @ disboards.

You would need to use your email address. Not sure who you are and can't email you back to confirm.

Years ago we used to shop at Sainsbury's and they wouyld give a penny for every bag you brought from home. Then they had a place where you could donate that money to charity. We used to do this, but then we shopped by car, now we are near a town centre and walk.

One of my favorite wedding presents is a "lifetime" bag from Sainsbury....My cousin lives in London and my Auntie shopped for our wedding gifts in London while on vacation and knew we'd like to have that bag. It's come on many a travels with us.:goodvibes

Did you get my email from last week? Hope so!

Some places around here are starting to go back to paper bags instead of plastic. Some towns have actually banned the use of plastic bags.

There is a store here that charges 5 cents per plastic bag. They have always done that since they opened up. In addition you get the benefit of having to bag your own groceries. They say that it results in savings that they pass on to the consumer, but truthfully I don't find their prices that much cheaper.

I'd shop elsewhere due to that kind of service or lack of.

Hi

Do you have Marks and Spencer in your area? Just wonder because some worldwide have it.

I saw one in Singapore and it was very expensive than my home:scared1:

Didn't see one in Australia, not sure about Amercia?

Scottishwee35

not in USA, we love M&S when we tavel to London :goodvibes

Our M&S have wonderful food departments. Things are much more expensive but great quality. Unfortunately for our wallets it is on our route to and from town, so I just have to pop in and buy their food.:lmao:

love the food to go shops, that is how we stayed fed while traveling in London 2 summers ago. The food was fresh and tastey:goodvibes

It's coming UPS ground.....I have tracking numbers, so I'll track it and let you know when it should arrive.

Ah ha, UPS is 7 days from coast to coast. Funny the US Mail is faster, but not as easy to track of course. I'll look for the boys in brown next week...They also hit here at the end of the day ~ 7pm

Is it an orange bag?

I'd shop elsewhere due to that kind of service or lack of.

We always have to pack our own shopping apart from one or two quick tills. We have a US Air force base close by with quite a few US folk, both military and civilian living in and near Harrogate. Sometimes when they first come you see them waiting for their shopping to be magically packed!!!!!!

Forgive my stupid questions but what is a "lifetime" bag?

Ian,

Love the story of Mrs. Bennett, she seems to be a very nice lady.

Deb, Everytime you write Fishlips it makes me smile, :upsidedow
Ps. Do you want to do a short blurb for the meet and I will post it along with a map, link to the restaurant, and link to who is keeping the list and the deadline, on the website?

Holly, in my experience with the service dept at my store, it will be cheaper to buy a new laptop then a new LCD screen, unless you are still under warranty.

Gydell, I bet they make most of the lines for check-in CC this year.

Marilyn, I also prefer to bag my own, the checkers these days don't seem to care, even at the most expensive grocery store around here. I picked up a new lifetime bag for that shop today, it has huge glistening blueberries on it, very pretty. The produce manger says they will be updating them every few months or so.

Kelly did say not all States do so, so perhaps GA is one of them.

Ours go forward the last Sunday morning in March.

For the U.S. and its territories, Daylight Saving Time is NOT observed in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, and Arizona . The Navajo Nation participates in the Daylight Saving Time policy, even in Arizona, due to its large size and location in three states.

Seems GA is not part of the non group...

My goodness this thread moves fast!! I was just checking in for a moment, so I thought I'd say hello......back to catching up....

Ok, the update on Mrs. Bennet is absolutely hilarious!!! The photos are great.
I will have to go back in the thread to find out where she came from. When I started, she was arriving...so I missed her intro.
Anyway, thanks for the Laugh!!! I needed it today.

haaaaa haaaa haaa that's a good one....Molly and I just got back from our fist booth of the season. 4-7pm at Trader Joes. Went pretty good, gotta count the cash to see how many boxes she sold.

booth sales tonight 148 boxes...
love trader joe's especially with girl scout cookies:goodvibes

This must be my lucky week. We went to Disneyland Resort twice. In addition to my getting invited to Club 33 at the last minute, when we were with Edna Mode (Kelly) on Wednesday, we all received free silver Mickey Ears (it's part of the Year of a Million Dreams promotion). I never thought I'd win anything.

This morning, as we were going through Tarzan's Treehouse, DW got a call on her cell (from some friends just outside the tree house), then told me, "Go to the exit, NOW!"

I know better than to ask questions, and went straight to the exit, where cast members were handing out silver Mickey Ears. As soon as I got my ears, they ran out.

Note to the men out there: If your sweetheart says "NOW," don't ask questions.

how fun!!!

I'm glad you had a good time....when I think of techno I think loud:upsidedow

Do your clocks go forward in the US this weekend or next?
Arizona never changes so I never keep up. It's nice not to change clocks but its hard when trying to figure out when to call people from different time zones:sad2:

You're quite welcome, Kathy. The Panama Canal DVD has been on sale for $10 since the first time I posted the link.

We watched the DVD twice, and plan to watch it again before the cruise. It's very informative with many historical photos and film clips.

Woody
thanks for the tip:thumbsup2 Just ordered mine.

Nothing much going on at home today.....cooking, cleaning, puttering.....but not decluttering.....that's a big project for when we move to Delaware and have to do it.

John is cooking pot roast in the crock pot. He likes to make crock pot meals on weekends and then have leftover food to eat during the week.
I love cooking a roast in the crock pot I usually add a little water with an envelope of onion soup mix and brown gravy envelope and its always so good especially with garlic herb mashed potatoes:goodvibes

Holly's computer must have died. She has not posted at all for over a day. That's not like Holly. The last thing she posted was that her laptop was in need of repair.

I hope it works out for her and that she can get back on here. We'll miss her and she will miss us too.

Hi everybody, just a quick note. I'm alive and well, but my computer isn't. It finally died Friday and I'm way back on page 77 of this thread, so I'll likely not be able to keep up. Just checking quickly at the public library. I'll be at my mom's tonight and can try to check here if she'll let me use her computer, but she's pretty possessive of it. :lmao:

My computer just went "pop" and the screen went blank. Computer was still running though, so it's just the screen. Will take it to see how much it will cost to fix it as soon as I have time, but that probably won't be until Tuesday after work because we're busy today and tomorrow, and Monday is karate for Tyler after work.

If anybody wants to keep in contact in the meantime, I can check e-mail while at work, so you can use my yahoo e-mail: hollyntyler@yahoo.com. :grouphug:

I MISS YOU ALL!
welcome back Holly:) Hope your computer is better soon
