You know, my daughter had to be re-educated when we moved back to the USA. She was saying her abcs wrong in preschool. Once she got to the end, she would say Zed, instead of Z. Took lots of sesame street to get her back on the right path! The teachers told me in school that when mid-morning would come along, she would always ask "Is it Smoko time?" (this is what some Aussies call a mid-morning break). They would just crack up laughing at her accent and word choices.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That is too funny!!! When my daughter was little, she kept saying 'Z' and not Zed because of playhouse disney channel!! Took us a lot of reeducation also..

I see nothing wrong with "Zed"! In fact that's what my daughters say regardless of Sesame Street and other US programming.

When I was in high school we had an exchange student from Australia in my math class. On one of her early days into the system, we were writing a quiz and she turned to one of the loud outspoken jocks and asked to borrow his "rubber". She learned quickly the difference here in Canada. ;)

OMG!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: And here in Australia, a famous brand of beer is called XXXX (Four X), which apparently has a similar problem to 'eraser'....we have to be so careful when we go overseas not to accidentally say something really rude.....:rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh yes, we all have that problem too over here!!:lmao:
Isnt it fun having to translate before you speak!!!:lmao:

We are going to get into WDW around 9am on the 8th. What is something fun to do besides the parks? That doesn't break the bank. It has to be on Disney property since we won't have a car. We might end up at a park but are trying to come up with other ideas.

How about mini golf? You can get to either on the buses...:)

Amy, is there at least another female going so you are not on your own there this time.

I'M EATING WITH A WW LEADER??????

Oh man.... I'm sitting at the other end of the table!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm probably the ONLY WW who celebrates when his members gain weight! Seriously, for the holidays I had my members make a plan as to whether they would, lose, stay the same, or gain weight, and if so, how much.

I try to make my members to not beat themselves up over a gain, and to also recognize that given the situation, they may have limited their gain by doing something differently than they had done before.

I find that they can manage much more effectively when they go on vacation by, if it their choice, planning their weight gain.

Gaining by plan is very different than gaining unconsciously or by accident.

I find that if they tell themselves, "I will only gain 5 lbs," they are less likely to get out of control, be more forgiving with themselves, and get right back on the program when they're back home.

(Yes ... Now you can all pick yourselves up off the floor. Ian has at last said something serious)

I think I am calling in sick tomorrow....and now I am on with Disney Dining....looks like ESPN weekend is a go...but at a $30 a night resort....YIKES!

I love Photoshop Elements, under $100 and lots of freedom.

There are some really simple tutorials on line to get you started. And most of the "papers" and "elements" I collect for free from designer blog giveaways. I also collect templates that allow me to add in my papers and elements, a photo or two, can be done a page in about 15 minutes or so.

Love this site, so helpful and she creates some beautiful freebies, http://mistycatodesigns.blogspot.com/2007/03/layered-template-tutorial.html

Andrea does a template of the day (most days), love her work
http://scrapandrea.blogspot.com/

For the daily freebie search, these;
http://ikeagoddess.blogspot.com/
http://digifree.blogspot.com/
http://seebeesfreebies.blogspot.com/ has Disney themed freebie kits.

Alot of these have many pages so be sure to look at the older posts.

I loved paper scrapping, and will combine Linda's project with some digital work as well.

PJ - Did you see that the new version of elements for Mac is coming out soon? They had it at Macworld. Dual binary and intel native.

Hey everyone. I can't believe I'm a good 90 pages or so behind again. You guys chat too fast!

My mom took over the fish extenders project because life is too insane for me right now. She finished two of the four extenders and they look GREAT! I cant' wait to take pictures to show you guys.

I don't know if anyone else is flying Jetblue, but we had a scare today. They bumped up our flight times too far!! So we changed it so that we're all flying home on the redeye now out of Long Beach. I guess we'll have a day in California after all.

Do you really want me to tell you about margaritas?????

NO!!!!! :lmao: (Tell me after I've had my first dozen...;) )

Mrs. Bennett has arrived!

We are MOST please with this prospect!!! We will have to run and tell Kitty and Mary that their prospects do not seem so dire!!!
