Yesterday I went to Joanne's with my coupons from the Sunday paper and bought what I need to fashion my Champagne Girls Tink outfit. Since I don't sew (don't even have a sewing machine) I'm going to be "cutting and pasting" or maybe I should say "cutting and gluing" it together!:lmao: The only thing I won't have is Tink's hair--I'll be Tink's graying mother, or grandmother!:scared1:

We were on the EB Med and then returned for the Med Cruise July 17. I kinda had a nightly ritual of going into the sports bar, picking up my tortilla chips, guacomole and sour cream and then taking it over to Rockin Bar D. Maybe you just missed it?

Maybe too much drinkin??????? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Chips and sour cream yummy! Thanks for the tip. :thumbsup2

Another DL ? - the monte cristo sandwich - Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans? Do they still have the restuarant that was divided to look like soap operas?

what's a genius bar?

Just another SUPERIOR service offered at your neighborhood Apple store--make an appointment for a 20 min. consultation with a Mac geek and they will help you with whatever you want in your 20 minutes--free.

So what is the genius question of the day Cherie?

I had 2 questions--one was what to do to be able to enlarge a small graphic to a larger size without it becoming all pixelated. I had an idea, but didn't know for sure. The guy gave me a couple of things to try--I don't have Photoshop, but I have Graphic Converter. The other was how to understand the activity monitor widget I have. In explaining it, I learned what I was doing (or not doing) that was putting a strain on my CPU. For instance, I didn't realize that all those widgets I have open in the Dashboard are always running in the background, even if Dashboard isn't open! :scared1: I LOVE my Widgets, but I don't have to keep them open all the time. Another thing was having lots of browser windows open, as opposed to having a lot of tabs open (tabs better than windows). And that I need to quit Safari occasionally instead of leaving it open for a few days! duh GREAT info! My little iBook is really hummin' now!

If you buy a Mac, you can go to an Apple store and make an appointment to ask a Mac expert questions, or to solve a problem. Best Buy tried to copy the idea with their "Geek Squad", which is a poor imitation.

OH YEAH!!! Although I got a great deal at Best Buy on the hard drive I just had put in--$80 for a 160 GB!

Oh Man V . . . just bought that laptop, and new MacBooks and MacBook Pro just announced today . . .
Latest Intel processors, and up to 250 mb HD!

YUM YUM!!!:woohoo:
But I'm happy with my little iBook, especially now!

Is everyone staying at a DL hotel. We are staying at Candy Cane Inn since we will only be there one day.I am thinking in 2009 going to DL, SW, USH, and seeing California in general.

Hmmmm . . . I sure could use a bigger HD . . . I have 120 gb, which is always running out of space.

ok re DL tickets....if they take WDW passes....
John, Samantha and I have a WDW one day pass...which we will probably never use...thus I was going to turn those in and buy us one day park hoppers....for $263. a two day for Haley would be $112 for $375 (gosh that seems a lot!)
an AP deluxe is 259..not sure of the blackout dates though. And if it would give me any discount on the GC.....

Sunday the 25th is a black out date. However, I think you could buy a one day pass for Sunday, go to guest services inside DL and have that money applied to an AP and still go on Sunday. Does that make sense?

OK, all this cruise chat has gotten me sail-crazy! So I cracked yesterday and booked a (non-DCL) cruise in 24 days.... no husband, no kids... just a friend and I.:dance3:
Everyone thinks I'm crazy.... but we're getting hit with yet another snow storm! I'm so outta here!

Lucky you!

Fairfield by Marriott, right across the street from the entrance next to McD's. Much cheaper and we don't spend any time at the hotel at all.

River Bell Terrace is technically counter service, but they have different sections for different types of food. This is my fried chicken spot! They have some kind of character interaction at one meal, but someone who's been more recently will have to tell you. (I THINK it's princesses now...used to be Pooh).

Haven't done Redd Rocket.

...break over...back to work...

.

I believe you are talking about the Plaza Inn with the chicken and counter service. The Riverbelle Terrace is next to Tarzan's Treehouse and is the one with the Mickey pancakes.

That restaurant was actually at DCA on Hollywood Blvd. It is no longer there and has been replaced by the Disney Playhouse (or something like that)

Someone's nicked my countdown timer!!:confused3

Gone again!:confused3

Marilyn I will help you with your counter.

I remember that while we were on med cruise after the magic then disco 70 was on and some foods there in lobby - sandwiches, cheese etc. Interpreter told us that foods always there like 24 hours!!!

What is everyone wearing for the Champagne girls tasting? I have to buy a pik outfit and was looking for some ideas.

forgot ask the question for Calfornia people:

What the weather like in May as I have been told that the weather will be cold when we arrive LA?

What is the temperature for May? As I need to know for packing as we are staying there for 3 nights.

Thanks

I think you can go as pink and fancy as you would like. Should be fun.

However, I think I will be just adding a pink tee or blouse to my packing list. Of course we have tiaras too!!!:cutie: :dance3:

We live about 30 min from DL and it will probably be hot. A few years ago we went wine tasting on May 21 and I remember it was over 100. I'm not saying it is always that hot but I think shorts will be fine. If you are a cold person you could pack a sweater.
