One person no longer coming. Any possibility of refunds for LLMP?

There has been a break up and one person is no longer travelling with our party next week.

Is there any possibility of having their LLMP and ILL’s refunded? I had paid for all of them so if I could recoup the cost that would be great, but I’m not expecting it.

It's always worth asking. I know day of I've gotten ILL's refunded day of if a kid changed their mind or if the ride was down and we had an ADR somewhere else.

Chat now and ask. Every once in a while refunds are issued.

If they say no, try a blue umbrella in park as sometimes they appear to have a little more leeway.

Yes, you can get the cost of the LLMPs and LLSPs refunded. I've done it several times since my traveling partner sometimes bails out before using hers.

After you enter your first park, go to a Guest Experience Team (the blue umbrellas) person and give them the info and they will issue your refund.

I don't know if there's a way to get this done in advance of your trip, but it wouldn't hurt to give WDW a call and see.

There is zero problem getting a refund for unused LLs. But you have to ask for the refund before they would have been used. So do this either before your trip (if possible) or on day 1.

Not quite. We have had reports of people trying to get LL refunds prior to a cancelled trip being denied. Could be internal rules for before the trip and during the trip are different.

Also, you can ask on the day they will be used. We had a person take ill one day mid-trip and in park they issued a refund for their LLs for that day. The hard rule is you cannot have used the purchase.

That's interesting. I've never tried canceling before a trip, but it's hard to believe they wouldn't refund them. After all, they've never been used. And also good info about the LLs being refunded later in the day. I've never tried that.

All I can do is report my experience, which is that I have never had a problem getting a refund from GET at a park. I have not even had to plead my case or go to someone else. It has never ever been a problem. Despite what the T&Cs say.
Same here. My mom got sick on GoTg and they refunded us for that, plus all the other LLMP/LLSP she was booked on later in the trip as she would not be able to ride. They are pretty accommodating and understanding if there is a valid reason I think, but of course not guaranteed ever per the rules.

And that's fine. Disney has apprentely decided to routinely grant exceptions in the past. Maybe they still will. Or maybe they won't. And it is always reasonable to ask. But because the rules say they are nonrefundable, I would not expect to get a refund.

I mean, the T&Cs say "Lightning Lane passes are nonrefundable" so I don't think it's all that surprising.
I take that to mean, you can't go into the park, decide you are dissatisfied with using the LLMP, then get it refunded. Worst case I would think would be they would give you a credit if you have not used it, but since others are saying they have received full refunds I would say that's more than fair.

We moved our flight up from a late afternoon to a morning flight due to weather last January (Southwest warning of a flight impact) and they happily gave us a refund for LLMP for the following day.

Not a MP but I was able to get a refund for a Tron single pass when it went down just as my window was opening. I'd scheduled for the evening to hit Tron, hit the nighttime parade, and head out because I had Wild Africa Trek first thing the next morning. Because there was no guarantee it would come up, and I needed to head out after Starlight to sleep, I couldn't wait around until 11pm to see if it reopened. I explained my case at a Blue Umbrella and they refunded me.

We caught Covid at WDW last year & cut our trip short by 3 days. I never thought about our LLs until after we got home. I read a few reports of people being refunded so called a week later, when I was feeling better. The CM was very nice & refunded them with no problem.
