Hi everyone,
I'm sitting outside the Apple store, waiting for my appointment at the Genius Bar. It's the perfect Phoenix winter day...blue sky, a slight breeze, in the 70s. This is the time of year to come down here. Earlier I was sitting next to a woman who is visiting from St. Louis and bemoaning the fact that she has to go home tomorrow!

I've been twice in June and once in September and it was HOT, but we loved it. Should try this time though and we could get out and about more.

Oh, it was monsoon time too in June - fun.

This morning I took my trusty little iBook in and had the hard drive replaced. It wasn't broken, just waaaaay too small (30 GB). Now I have a whoppin' 160 GB!! I can start keeping my photos on here! I also installed some extra RAM and have a new battery so I'm good to go for the cruise.

I'm sitting outside the Apple store, waiting for my appointment at the Genius Bar. It's the perfect Phoenix winter day...blue sky, a slight breeze, in the 70s. This is the time of year to come down here. Earlier I was sitting next to a woman who is visiting from St. Louis and bemoaning the fact that she has to go home tomorrow!

Oh yes those are the regular AP rates the other rates I posted are part of a promo they have for even more discounted AP rates. It is code AP6 but does not apply to GC for our dates.

If you buy a Mac, you can go to an Apple store and make an appointment to ask a Mac expert questions, or to solve a problem. Best Buy tried to copy the idea with their "Geek Squad", which is a poor imitation.

But lots of us do! As an AP holder I can book more then one room per night. I think they allow two per passholder per night. Heck I think a bunch of you guys could hook up and get rooms booked together. Would save a lot of money.

Also if you are going to be there a number of days it would still be cheaper to buy one pass for one adult in the family then get to use it for admission plus get the $169 per night room at paraidse pier. You know what I mean?

You could then use the pass for the 10% off dining too.

that $169 adds up to$205 with tax and resort fees.

I did not know they had nachos, hot dogs....I'm starting to wonder if the med people were screwed? They did have a late night snack buffet located just outside rockin bar d, but no "drunk food"

We were on the EB Med and then returned for the Med Cruise July 17. I kinda had a nightly ritual of going into the sports bar, picking up my tortilla chips, guacomole and sour cream and then taking it over to Rockin Bar D. Maybe you just missed it?

Maybe too much drinkin???????

Ok a ? for you DL people - Can you tell me about the Carnation Cafe, the Redd Rocket, and the River bell Terrace restuarants?

Carnation Cafe is mostly sandwiches. Good tuna! Redd Rockets Pizza Port is pizza, pasta and salad 0 I love their pasta! The River Bell Terrace I've only been to for breakfast - love those Mickey pancakes! Carnation Cafe is on Main Street; Redd Rockets is in Tomorrowland and River Bell Terrance is by Indiana Jones in Adventureland.

I actually prefer the Plaza Inn - they have the BEST broasted chicken - it's amazing!

When are you going? MIL & FIL have a house there (they don't offer it out, sorry) but we go every so often. Such a pretty place.

We're looking at Aug of 09. Now considering this B&B since it is in town and we can walk to restaurants (AND everyone can have there own rooms and great a break from eachother!)

Carnation Cafe is on main street in DL. One of my favorite places for breakfast...as a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever eaten lunch there. It's fun to have a end of breakfast time ADR...get to the park early, do Fantasyland and Adventureland (does this sound familiar WDW folks) then have a pancake break.

River Bell Terrace is technically counter service, but they have different sections for different types of food. This is my fried chicken spot! They have some kind of character interaction at one meal, but someone who's been more recently will have to tell you. (I THINK it's princesses now...used to be Pooh).

Haven't done Redd Rocket.

Oh rats....getting River Bell Terrace and Plaza Inn mixed up. BOTH have good chicken. Plaza Inn has the character stuff.

The 'other' restaurant in New Orleans Square that used to be counter service is now a sit down AND has the Monte Cristo sandwich that you used to get only get at Blue Bayou. And the name is......
