Holy Cow!!! almost three hours. I hope you have a hands free headset.

Thankfully I do!

Another agent called after I was already on hold and they told her it was up to 207 minutes :scared1: Once she heard my hold time, she hung up - I'll do her stuff too.

you're in! We'll rule the ship:lmao:

I ordered my pins just now. I am going to check out the link for mouseadventures..brb

Yeah!! Thank you!! Just trying to catch up! 9 pages so far and by the time I get to 1 I know there will be more!!!:scared1:

And I've tried to study up on the mouseadventures some, but will get more detailed hopefully this weekend!!!

I forgot to report what a great find I had last night! I was checking out United website and looked out my direct SFO-MCO flight, which was $350, and it was for $149! I quickly called and got over a $1200 refund to my credit card!! How great is that?

All the talk about buying pins got me thinking about another way to surprise my kids with the cruise. Usually, the Easter bunny leads a trail of candy from their room to the family room. Maybe I should leave a trail of Disney pins!
Lisa

What a fun idea!!! And congrats on the savings!!!

V, I sent another pm off to Laura's friend a week or so ago, but it seems they have both stopped posting on the dis, so she probably won't pick up the pm.

Back in December her friend did reply to my first one saying laura was still planning on coming.

It appears there is no way to get in touch with her unless she herself wants to post here or contact someone.

You are probably thinking of the post where I said that Laura probably wouldn't be providing the boas now.(Though of course we dont' know!!!!)

so who has exciting plans this weekend?
I am going to clean and purge some more....next weekend we are heading over to the world for ESPN weekend. We may be crashing at my mom's unless I can find a cheap hotel.

The quest packet - read everything and if something doesn't make sense read it again. Not sure if any guide books would help but it couldn't hurt.

The park versions have a trivia aspect to them in addition to the quests so we have the A-Z Disney Encyclopedia.

We have had a blast on the 2 Mouseadventures we've done so far - park versions.

No real trivia in the High Seas edition. The Read Everything is important. It is amazing how many people miss something because they assumed they knew what we were looking for, rather than actually reading to learn what we wanted.

You don't need to do anything prior to May 20 - no need to PM or anything. You can form your teams now or on board. Each stateroom listed in the navigator will get a game packet automatically.

Though I imagine on-board the rules won't be as stringent (i.e. no camera, etc.)

Rules from the last time:

  • Each cabin is a team. You may join forces with ONE other cabin so long as there are no more than 6 people on your total team. In some cases, families with two cabins have already been combined into one team.
  • Return your answer sheet by 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26th to the location indicated in the final quest. Late returns are not graded. Results and answers will be posted sometime after 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 27th.
  • Prohibited behaviors: running, line-cutting, pushing, shoving, or other rudeness. Play it safe: this is essentially a subjective call. Do not interfere with other guests or crew members.
  • Quest answers must be written on the answer sheet. Write other task answers where indicated. The answer sheet is the ONLY sheet that will be graded – if it's not on there, it doesn't count.
  • Participants consent to the use of their likeness in photos for posts and/or articles about the event.
  • One quest will require you to interact with a specific crew member. This person will be on duty between 8am and midnight on the 26th. You must locate this person during the normal course of their duties. YOU MAY NOT HAVE THIS PERSON PAGED, or ask for any assistance in finding this person.

This packet contains the following materials:

• Eight “Quests,” marked as "A" through "G"
• “Answer Sheet”– all quest answers must be on this sheet.

The object of the game is to score as many points as possible. You may complete the quests in any order, and some quests can only be completed during certain times. When you are done with your last quest—or when it nears the 10:00 p.m. event deadline—you must turn in your answer sheet. Late returns are not graded. Absolutely no exceptions. Make sure to write your stateroom number(s) on the top of the answer sheet!!!

I would be interested! I live in OR! I'm competitive too and know my family wouldn't be interested, so I would love to be teamed with others!!

But is it just one day or multiple days? And how much do the ship ones cost to participate in?

The ship one will be done on the 20th. (I confirmed that with Adrienne last night). There is no cost to play. (Although we are not responsible for the number of rum punches you may consume while playing....)

I would like to pick up a new movie for the girls...they have been pretty good helpers for me all week and been great with keeping the car nice and neat!

I think we are the west coast of 6...

my mom may be sleeping at my house for a bit tonight as well - so the need for frantic cleaning. She has three shifts that need to be fed over the weekend at her plant and she is helping out. Fun.

so who has exciting plans this weekend?
I am going to clean and purge some more....next weekend we are heading over to the world for ESPN weekend. We may be crashing at my mom's unless I can find a cheap hotel.

I am working at the store tomorrow, and then get to do taxes for the rest of the weekend. Can't finish our personal taxes until the business taxes are done. Ugh!

Laura, thanks so much for posting. Tonight we found the Olympus 790SW for $149. It's perfect for our needs.

Woody what part of LA did you go? I went to two in Norwalk and they didn't have one. One was out and the other still had the camera listed at $250. I was a bit sad. Am looking for one for niece and a friend.
Laura, I am in the South Bay area of L.A. Had to check several stores before finding the camera in stock.

You might try going back to the store that has it in stock, and have them check the stock number 056 10 0770. It should have a red tag with the stock number, saying: "WAS $299.99 / NOW $149.98." Tell them it's on clearance at other Target stores. Ask to speak with a manager. Good luck.

Woody
