I'm telling ya, we might want Wilson to join us. He is sneaky and good. He is small and can pretend he is not Eavesdropping and get all the good info....it's not really cheating if a child does it on your behalf is it?

(just pretend you never saw this post, it never happened)

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

So this is how you're going to play the game, hmmmmm? I see :3dglasses

We want to be partners too! Will you all play with us? :worship:

Edited to read: DrHug is very smart and a logical thinker and a bunch of fun! But, you gotta take me to get him.

DH John is awesome at this stuff too! He will love this!!!

Susie

I am glad you asked. I was wondering the same thing. Would love to meet her. Have been a fan of her site since shortly after it started.

Marilyn, not sure if Doug will want to do it either but if we girls decide to do it I bet they will join in just so they aren't left out of something. :lmao: :rotfl:

Carol

John gets annoyed with himself if he just doesn't 'get' something. We may all suffer for that!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I tell you, it is all out war!

If you see the locusts coming my way, will you please divert them?

In the last 14 hours we have had:
DD twist the huge iron dining room chandelier causing it to come crashing down (she is fine)

our overflow freezer defrost, ice cream and spaghetti sauce allover

the garage door spring explode and I'm pretty sure DH broke the door getting it up

If I weren't waiting for the repairman, I'd go back to bed and pull the covers over my head...

Ohmigosh!! :scared1: Sorry to hear of your TGIF!!

Hope your weekend picks up soon ... until then ... there's always the DIS!! :wizard:

:tinker: Karen

Okay, my teens have decided the NO ONE can beat our family ... so ... I guess I am off the DIS team and TEAM HALL FAMILY (which is uber-competitive times 5) is ready to take on all challengers!! :rotfl:

Side note ... I was raised the only girl in a family full of guys ... and I have been know to *ahem* cheat/lie/steal (okay, maybe not that, but I like to win!!) ;)

:scared1: What the heck?! Well, maybe all your bad luck for a whole year is happening in one day, so you'll be fine for the rest of the year! Hang in there! Probably you might not want to drive anywhere today.

Well, here I am again today! :lmao: I just found out the energizer bunny lawyer isn't coming in until 1:00, so I finished up the stuff he produced at the end of the day and am patiently waiting for his arrival. I return from lunch at 1:30, so from 1:30 to 5:30 it will be total chaos trying to keep up with the whirlwind that he is. :rotfl: In the meantime, I'm pushing his counterpart to produce something for me to do! ;)

Do we need to PM someone to let them know we are in?

No, The Mouseadventure team will automatically deliver the game to every stateroom from the disboards. How do they know who to deliver to? Why, of course, they use the mini-navigators! So, the important thing is to make sure you have gotten all your information turned in (to Lisa I think) especially your STATEROOM NUMBER once you have been moved from the lifeboat suite. :lmao:

Wasn't sure when to jump in here and introduce myself, so- no time like the present. It is just the two of us, I'm Vicki and my DH is Tom. We have a gty 8 and this is our 5th Disney cruise. I was able to get a res. at Palo for dinner, but missed out on brunch. Can someone confirm the 75 day mark is Monday, 2-25. I want to try again then for brunch. With all those sea days it seems odd to me that I wasn't able to get one before. I've been reading these threads since January and I see many of us are in the same boat, so to speak.

I look forward to meeting everyone in May:flower3: ,
Vicki

Welcome Vicki and Tom!

Hi Everyone,

Looking for some advice for posting a box of stuff to the ship beforehand...Is this a common thing to do? How soon before did you send your items? Anything special, or just regular post? I will be posting my things from Australia via our postal service, but it is just the regular post, not a courier or anything...

Did anyone have any troubles/things I should look out for?

I know the address is in the first post - thanks to all the organisers on this thread who take care of us!

Leanne:thumbsup2 :) :flower3:

I shipped three boxes to DCL for the 2005 PC cruise. I shipped them all US mail with delivery confirmation so I tracked them across the US knowing when they arrived in Florida. I shipped my boxes May 1st. I wouldn't ship too early. All three boxes were in our stateroom when we arrived at 1:30 p.m. It worked really well.

Linda - are you playing in April? Did you attend either of last years?

We're registered for Basic (again) for this April.

No, unable to do the dates in April. Tony and Adrienne have not been working MA around my schedule. I don't know why they don't check with me before picking the date! :confused3 :confused3 :rotfl:

I think Kinkos makes poster size too. :lmao:

Heck, we could make a banner of the deck plans if that would help! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Though I imagine on-board the rules won't be as stringent (i.e. no camera, etc.)

Yes, the times I have played on the ship have been more casual, although there have been definite rules which they deliver with the game (i.e. like you CANNOT ask a CM for an answer)

I would be interested! I live in OR! I'm competitive too and know my family wouldn't be interested, so I would love to be teamed with others!!

But is it just one day or multiple days? And how much do the ship ones cost to participate in?

No cost, and the game is delivered to your stateroom, so make sure you have your information turned in for the mini-nav. It is just one day, you do the game at your own pace and there is a deadline in the rules to have the game turned in.

I read about it and it sounds like fun. I want to to the disneyland one in april! How do we do it on the ship? It looks like it's just held at DLR?

Anyone have any answers..and who do we pm to sign up..and (yes theres more questions) does it cost to play?

Don't do anything! There is no pre-planning required.

I think we team up on the ship, calm down steph, breathe....

BREATHE, BREATHE......................................... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Can anyone tell me how to add a photo at the end of or in the middle of a post?

Greg

Greg-what you need to do is go to a third party site (I use Photobucket.com) Open up a free account and then download the picture you want to put on the boards here. Then open up another window with the disboards and when you are replying, hit the little mountain picture at the top and then paste in the IMG from the photobucket window. Oh, and copy from the photobucket picture before you hit the mountain and then just paste.

Hopefully, I've walked you through it and it is now as clear as mud.

Okay, I have a question for those who may be shipping boxes ahead but then are flying home directly after the cruise. :confused3 My DH and I would like to send some things ahead. Among these our pirate costumes, etc. The only problem with doing this is that then they still have to go into our suitcases on the trip home since we can't get to anyplace to ship a box home. This happened to us on the 11 night cruise and we ended up paying for extra bags. :scared1: We would like to avoid this if possible but don't know if there is someplace at the airport to ship packages. Does anyone know if there is a place at the airport we could do this?

Carol

I have a contact in Southern California, not far from the port who has a store. Let me check with them and see what they are willing to do for this cruise.

that would be great, I am interested in shipping a box home as well, so our luggage won't be over the limit.

Don't forget that a few of us have played before so should give us an advantage :thumbsup2 Darrell is super competitive - which is why we only have 2 of us on our team...

Lisa, Bubba says that we want to be on your team. ;) Since you are old pros at this.:thumbsup2

:lmao: Lifeboat suite!!! did you read that fellow lifeboaters - a suite!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: What shall we call it? It NEEDS a name.

A big banner of the deck plan would be goooooood!!!:rotfl2:

I want someone experienced on our team or I'll sulk.:snooty:

Does anyone know the distance from the Acapulco port and the airport? I'm trying to make an airline reservation for DH in case he needs to fly home, but not sure if he will be able to get to the airport in time since we don't dock until noon....and I suppose we might be late. There is a 3pm flight on Mexican Airlines....
Lisa

Bought a suitcase today - a garment carrier one for the first ever time. This is so John can bring his suit. My how he has changed from this time last year!:rotfl:

If your ISO is set high you could end up with grainy pics. Usually the top level of the ISO settings is not that great to use for darker/ no flash pics.

Grainy pics can result from a printer setting that is set to text rather pics. So you might want to check your printer settings too.

As others have stated, you might not have the setting high enough on the camera as to quality of shot.

There are actually lots of reasons why the pics wouldn't turn out. One thing would be to post a pic on here so people can see the "grainy" pic and then we may be able to help with it being a camera or a printer "error"...
ll needs

Thanks....I guess I still need to do some more experimenting with the camera. It is on ISO auto...would think that would be ok. I am sending off pics to walmart today so I'll let you know how those turn out and that should answer if it is the camera or printer....

Ok got my tux. Just need a shirt, tie and cumberbund now.

Bad but good news for my wife. The job she applied for she didn't get, but on the good side, that means less disruption for us prior to the trip.

Bad but good news for us. Our washing machine has been broken since Dec 20 and on Jan 7th we were told they had to order a new motor for it. We have been phoning and phoning and not finding out anything about what the status was until yesterday. We found out that the repair company never did order the motor (like they told us twice they had) and that they won't be ordering the part we need. Good news is that we now know where we sit and can order the part from a different company (unfortunately there is only the one repair company in town so they will get to install it regardless) so that needs to be done today.

Good news good news. We are one day closer to this vacation!!!

"Always look on the bright side of life" .... ;)

Hey - I was stationed at Ft Lewis and lived in Lacey and Olympia. :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc WA and would have loved to go back there. Unfortunately - I married a CA guy who :lovestruc CA too much. Thus the only time I leave here is when I go on vacation - hence - I'm always on vacation mode! :rotfl2:

I am about an hour from Olympia/Lacey. Neither Scott or I are :lovestruc with WA, but my practice is here, so for now, we are here....until we can move to warm and sunny all the time!

Thank you! That would be awesome because the only thing preventing me from shipping stuff is not knowing how to get it shipped back since I'll be going straight off the ship to the airport.
