Well, I just called in sick. Yesterday was so slow that I did part of today's work too. Now, I can't face going in there and trying to look busy, when I have so much to do here at home. Geeze, I could do my taxes today and purge and set up files for the new year and buy my trip insurance...and DIS.

I wish I could call in sick for the opposite reason. We have been VERY busy at work. We are at critical occupancy. Which means they are on the Docs to discharge patients. More discharges, just means more admissions.

Who has the list with how many cabins we have?

Also the list with how many kids and ages?

I wonder - is anyone doing the cabin map thingie that shows a dot for a DIS'er - like where their cabin is?

I think one of the Lisa's is in charge.(Can never remember if it is LisaG or LiserAnn!!!!)

Can I ask will we see the full list before we leave to go on the cruise and get the mini navigators? Would be good to see for personal fish mail preparations!!!

Thanks! Fish extender gifts is what I need the number for too.

One of our Aussie cruisers was going to do some bush dancing. I wonder if it is still on. all the details were on the other website now closed and could do with being on our 1st page.

Does anyone watch Jon and Kate plus 8? It's a cute show...way too many kids for me, but gosh..how much do you think TLC pays them to take them all the time. I've always been curious about that. I just learned that the Suitcase girls from deal or no deal make over 100k! and they only work 5-6 times a month! What a deal.

Those girls have to stand still in very high heels, sometimes for quite a while. You couldn't pay me enough to do that! :lmao:

Ok, and for the record. I am not an alcoholic. I know I profess my love of libations on this board, but at home I never drink. Even in social situations, it's very rare, cause I'm usually driving myself home and I want to make it there!
So when I go on vacation, I go WILD. No driving, means I can imbibe.

Same here...maybe one adult beverage a month (OK, maybe two), but I sure enjoy them on the ship. I TALK about tasty adult beverages way more then I consume them. I wish I could do that with FRENCH FRIES!

Wow! Being a single dad, working, and taking time for the kids, it is real hard to keep up with the 50 pages a day of reading in the late nights after I get the kitchen cleaned! I need a cruise!!! Did I miss anything interesting from the start of this new thread?? Not sure if I will have the time to go back and read the past posts. Hope everyone is well. Still in the Life Boats; and yes I know they are working on 3 cruises a week prior to ours! I think I really need a beer!! Will room service send me a fresh mug to my life boat??

Don't worry about keeping up. The important cruise business will be put on pj's website. Just jump in and 'visit' with us whenever you can.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Costco hot dogs...........

Ohhhh, perhaps a stop there for an inexpensive lunch today....just as long as I don't actually go through the store.

You can get a tux with tails if you want, I bought one on e-bay and it cost me less than the rental cost. as an added bonus I get to wear it anytime I feel like it. Really perks up those parent teacher conferences.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Time to switch out the laundry (see I AM doing something while I DIS).
Still got a few pages to catch up on.....

.

This just brought back a bad memory! While living in Japan and visiting Chinatown I actually had to drink a soup with live goldfish in it!! And then yes, you swallow them!:scared1: Horrible...but I did it!!! Wouldn't recommend it! So watch out what you're drinking!!!

EEEWWW! I'm afraid I would have caused an international incident.

Just read/post when you can. PJ's webpage will keep you updated on the important stuff.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Costco hot dogs...........

I am just so jealous when DrHug gets to work at Costco for a day and have Costco Hot Dog for lunch!!

Goodie - things I can put off for a while -- Painting....Angie will do it for me....

I'm getting pretty good at it!! Be on our way soon, I hope!!

Let me share my day with you yesterday - those fihses are everywhere....

I had to drive 2 hours west - there is only one road from here to there ---

On my way out of town I and everyone esle was turned by the cops....much intrigue so I headed through another area (about 20 minutes) to get to an entry further west - drat - cops there too - and now I am on a dirt road heading north - drat - the radio says - road is blocked due to protesters take "another route west" - I get on that road - HAH - it is blocked too - protesters are chained togetehr in middle of road - all traffic west - not happening.

So I head east then north then northwest about 2 hours out of may way - on the ay back south - to get west again (following me) I hit a very small town. They are doing major road repaving - they need it - normally not a problem, but I come to a sign "Road Work Ahead - Prepare to WAIT" ....and right before my eyes I see a flash of those fihses......and I break out laughing.
Not sure what I looked like, but I got a strange stare from the flagman......

Oh my! I bet the flagman did think you had lost it! :lmao:

You won't hear wacko from me!

My first car, a 68 Plymouth Barracuda was "Ralph"

Then in order; Seymor(Amc Hornet),

Adolph (my first VW bus), Wilhelm (bus), Jake (blue VW bus, DH had a blue civic named Elwood) The Blues Brothers.

and lastly Otto (bus).

OH MY!!!! The first car DrHug and I bought together was a 1967 Barracuda. We LOVED that car!!

Then the Hornet in I think 1975. Worst car on the planet!! We would find a handful of screws in the floor every morning. :confused3 The brakes did not work in the rain  and after 8 months (bought it new) we PUSHED it into the Toyota dealer that was at the end of our block and traded it for a Toyota Corona wagon.

Also, for those asking about the internet. I can say that I bought the largest package, $150, on the magic during the med cruise. The internet connection was HORRIBLE...to say the least. The best connection I could get was on deck 4 around 10pm each night or at 6am each morning. BUT, I had to wait and would get disconnected. Anyways, I went to guest services and they gave me more time. So, if you buy the internet (which I have too) make sure anytime you have a delay or get booted off or stuck, go to guest services and make them give you the time back. There is no reason to pay for a service you are not getting. It was not a problem, they were happy to do it.

IMHO....

Steph

The horrible connection is going to kill me and 6 am for my internet is not going to happen! :scared1:

Mom323...I noticed you posted on the toiletry bag thread...what do you keep your bare escentuals in?
