Download the list in my signature, those people are on lists for sure, I don't know the DDD+D code, ;) :confused3

Pj

Oh, duh...OK, I see half the team is signed up already, so they're covered if we don't get our own reservation, or do, but want to try for the group/private room.

Hey...

Do you think after Saturday's fiasco... Tom McAlpin might want to skip the 1st repo this year???

I hope he's not wearing a t shirt with a fish on it... :scared:

I'm not sure I like the idea of those disney guys reading the Disboards. It will be very interesting to see what response you get, it does seem like they are trying to help many of the people who complained.

I did get this from my email rant during the wee hours of Sunday morning:

2/11/08

Dear Angela,

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

I sincerely regret the challenges you've encountered while trying to
manage your reservation online.

Recently our website has been experiencing higher volume of traffic than
usual, as our Guests are preparing for their up coming Panama Canal
cruise.

I understand your concern, and I regret that the site was not been
permitting you to manage your reservation. Thank you for bringing the
matter to our attention.

I see that you pre-reserved:
*Acapulco City Tour with Cliff Divers
*Harbor Cruise & Scenic Drive (from Cabo San Lucas)

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

We look forward to sailing with you!

Have a Magical Day!!!

*If applicable, please include your full name, reservation number, and
phone number on all correspondence.

I replied that we are not looking for regrets for the challenges we encountered, but rather some solutions so it does not continue to happen. I added that I hope they have some solutions in place before the 90 day mark for the East Bound Cruise.

Does anyone else have plans to rebook onboard?? :confused3

I cannot bear leaving the MAGIC without having another cruise booked. It is hard enough leaving ... but without a firm plan to return, I would cry for at least a week (no kidding, at least a week!!).

Does anyone else go thru severe withdrawals???

:tinker: Karen

We are (though Darrell doesn't know if yet).

I'm hoping for something in the bginning of Oct 09 - 2 rooms so my sister and niece can come too. Lila has decided for her next birthday she wants to go on the Mickey Boat - unfortunately she'll have to probably settle for DL again this year and then the Mickey Boat next year. (She's 6 right now).

Nan, I'm sorry to read about your pup, I know it is a hard thing to do.

Our 9 month old puppy just ate 5 (of the kids', I swear) Entemanns donuts, 3 of which were chocolate covered. I'm going to google chocolate and dogs and see how sick I think he'll be.

Can I blame the dumb things I've been doing on residual sleep deprivation from Sat night?

The chocolate may not be a problem at all. My minature schnauzer ate and ENTIRE box of chocolate turtles (did a very neat job of removing the cellophane wrapper) with no adverse reaction (except for the sugar induced coma!). But I know it can be very dangerous for some dogs. Hope your puppy is fine.

And yes, you may use the sleep deprivation excuse of an entire week....I plan to.

Speaking of chocolate, think I'll have some almonds and a Dove Promise (dark) and read a bit befor bed.

Nighty, night, maties! pirate:

They do know about the DIS and they do monitor it to see what folks are talking about.:surfweb: HHHMMMM Maybe THAT is the job for me after I retire! I could cruise the DIS and let Disney know what they should be doing to keep us all happy! :yay:

Our little cocker got up in the middle of the table and ate half of DS's chocolate birthday cake one year. :lmao: :rotfl: Did not seem to hurt him, but boy was DS MAD!!!

Sounds good! Think I will have a root beer float!:dance3:

Just wanted to check on a news report I heard on the radio today . . .

They said that in Supermarkets in Scotland, BEER is cheaper than buying bottled water!:confused3

Is this correct?

If so, the Beer Boys may need to take a trip to Scotland sometime!

Like you guys need a reason to drink!!!

To all those that have PM'd about the fish gift teams...I will get to it all probably this week-end. Work will be crazy for the rest of the week, as I have to catch up from being out.
Lisa

Lisa...

In your travels..(not literally...) can you please post the names of the people who are on the teams, etc for the fish extenders?

Thanks much...

In fact on the 10 night Tom (I think it was Tom) was giving a talk and said he would not be announcing the two new ships - no matter what the Disboards said. :rotfl:

Of course just a few months later.... :teacher:

Hey Gaylean93 ;)

You have to book for a particular cruise ... but you can then change it over and over for no additional $$$. By booking onboard you receive $100-$200/room onboard credit ... and you save 10%!!!

:tinker: Karen

That sounds pretty good. Is the deposit 500.00 per person like this cruise?

Scottishwee35.....Your signature looks very familair......in fact it looks just like mine that I had for almost a year!!!:confused3 :confused3
I recently saw all those pirate mickey designs in the thread about door signs and a bunch of people read those from here. I assume we will see a bunch on the ship in May. You may even find one on my door. :)

When we did DCL Mexico in 2005 they did the same thing...we were rushing to get back on the ship to get ready because we had early dining and the theme nights. It was a pain!

Yes, you can leave them on the ship while you go on excursions. My only word of caution is to only do this if you're taking a DCL excursion because if something goes wrong on a DCL excursion they'll hold the ship...on a non-DCL excursion they won't. That happened to someone I know on Carnival (but they didn't have kids onboard).

I don't plan to. My sis is thinking of staying on the ship at least half of one of the port days so she can enjoy the ship without as many people on it. We might leave them in the kids club on that day so we can do something alone but again we aren't totally decided yet.

Maybe they are going to do a shake down with all of us (GTY folks and upgrade requests) before they decide what catagories to offer out. Or is that just wishful thinking from a lifeboat dweller?

Well I do hope they get to all of you waiting on rooms and hoping for upgrades before they try to lure more people in. It would make sense but then again who knows.

I posted a question about poker a few days ago and no one responded. My DH is bugging me about it! Does anyone know the rules for bringing on chips? Is anyone else even interested? $10.00 or 25.00 buy in? Nothing major, just some fun games or Texas Holdem.

:offtopic: I really hate it when one of my Smarties turned out the wrong color and is sort of a brownish color. Just bugs me because I can't figure out what flavor it's supposed to be! Does this bug any of you Smarties Queens? :tilt:

Yes... it does... immensley... (I know I spelled it wrong, but I havn't had a Smartie in 2 days and I'm :upsidedow

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi All!! :yay:

43 pages ... I think one of my eyeballs almost fell out!! :dance3:

Glad to be caught up. How cool that so many people are getting their excursions!! :thumbsup2

Wanted to mention that in addition to my "group", you will be receiving at least 3 "special packages" delivered throughout the cruise ... my crew loves stuffing the Fish Extenders and seeing everyone's doors. They will be a surprise ... but here's a hint ... they will contain both fun stuff and candies!! And maybe ... oh, I don't know ... I might throw in some SMARTIES!! :rotfl:

:tinker: Karen

The Royalty will let you kiss our candy rings!!!

Does anyone else have plans to rebook onboard?? :confused3

:tinker: Karen

Me... I'm sort of committed to the Konk Kooler 2 cruise in 10/09... Like I need to be adopted by another group!!!

My Smartie trick is to go to a gas station or CVS and by the 99 cent bag of Smarties...instead of the $4 bag from Walmart.....that way I don't get overwhelmed with Smarties (and calories)

Mine is to buy the biggest bag and hope it lasts... :rotfl:

Maybe they are going to do a shake down with all of us (GTY folks and upgrade requests) before they decide what catagories to offer out. Or is that just wishful thinking from a lifeboat dweller?

Hmmmmm...maybe we should start a new Brunch request for the 15th, that we can add to after the 75 day mark when we see who couldn't get their own bookings? I'd be glad to submit one. Are any of my DDDD+D tablemates already on a brunch list? If not there's five to start with. (See, I'm just anxious to have a Palo brunch as soon as possible ;) )

lemme know.

That might be a good idea... I can't see how they wouldn't have enough places to let us at least have dinner once at Palos in 2 weeks...

FORM LETTER...

NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!

:rotfl: :lmao: I was reading that response from DCL web site email and attached is my original message. :lmao: I'll post it:

Original Message Follows:
------------------------

And now 5 hours later, not one excursion reserved. Finally folks start
getting thru and THIS!!

Sorry there is an error and we can't retrieve your reservation!!

WHAT??? Does anybody care about our frustration here??? What on earth
would Walt say? I was a Disney guest when he was still with us and I
can tell you he would not have tolerated this kind of incompetence!

Um, I think I was a little upset! :lmao: This, by the way, was the second one I sent that night. :guilty:

Gee, I really have been in a fog the last couple of days.......until your comment above, I didn't even notice you're doing BOTH repos! HOW COOL! Lucky you! :goodvibes

Thanks - although DH doesn't seem to think so - he thinks I'm draggin him along - I told him he didn't have to go to any to which he replied - What? You don't want me to go? MEN! Go figure! :confused3

Does anyone else have plans to rebook onboard?? :confused3

Does anyone else go thru severe withdrawals???

:tinker: Karen

I looke like this:  and DH ends up having to pack so that I don't lose it some more.

Laura, Glad you found us here on this ship.......maybe we should make you Captain Laura!!

NO NO NO Please don't! Don't want anyone thinking I'm infringing on their title! :rotfl:

I think I will be feeling the same way after this cruise. After being onboard for so very long then having to leave will be very hard! Especially after making a bunch of new friends. Kind of like when I was a kid going to summer camp. You always cry when you leave all your friends and the fun you were having away from home. :sad1:

I'm crying because I HAVE to go home. :scared1: Did I ever mention I don't like to be home? Hence my summer of back to back vacations? Sometimes I amaze myself at what DH swallows. But then again - I can be pretty persuasive when I want to be. :lmao: (AND as if he had a choice) ;)

I think this calls for a sit in....

Deck 9 1st day at sea...

Close to a bar preferably...
