Thanks, that's very helpful! I could see where it could be very time consuming and expensive to do a day on your own! What kinds if gifts have people done in the past (just so I have something to get the creative juices flowing!)

I'm a novice at this, but here goes...

If there is a theme party on the ship, they gifts might be centered on that.
Such as Pirate Party; might be eye patches, washable tattoos and so on.

Other ideas are magnets, candy, pens, glow necklaces, key chains, notepads, deck of cards, travel sized items, like sewing kits,

Also items that may be indicative of where you are from. I'm from Maryland so I could look for crab related items.

I agree! The live people I have spoke with have been very nice about it BUT the upper level people should know how bad it is and maybe even try to fix it.

LOL! No worries about being sexist when it comes to me and sewing. I failed sewing in high school. I can kinda sew a button on if it has fallen off. Well only if it isn't a good pair of pants or a nice shirt

I just wanted to say I had noticed when your siggy changed and I really love the pictures! Those colors really pop and the outfits look great. I hope to get some pretty pictures like that on this trip for my siggy too.

My step dad emailed me today that he needed a copy of my birth cert for some paperwork he is doing for our business. No problem. Go home, into safe and find all 4 passports (phew) and scott's birth certificate. Not mine or the girls. Think for a minute and remember that during the move I put them somewhere safe so I could find them.....I cannot think of where that is and I have been tearing this house apart. Why didn't I just leave it in the safe where I knew it was? Why do I always "move things to a safer place"? Does anyone else do this and if so, can you remember where my birth certificates are?!

Same here, At this point there is not much to do. I will add those who want to be included for Palo private brunch to the list. When we get the actuall confirmation of the private room, we will slot DISers into date and send those faxes back in to DCL to confirm.

Only tough part is making the groups, I guess.

But now I think I get that:

A. Everyone should sign up for one day (either alone or with a group). More days if you want to, I suppose!
B. On your day, you give gifts to everyone else who has a fish extender, or who doesn't have a fish extender but who has signed up to particpate, in which case you try to track them down somewhere on the ship (right?).
C. If you choose the group option, Calmom will assign you to a group (and put you in touch with the group leader? Does the leader then decide on the gift?)
D. Calmom will have a list of everyone participating so you don't miss anyone when you're giving the gifts.
E. Calmom will also keep a list of who's giving what so there's no duplication.
F. Calmom is going to be a very busy bee! Does she need any help? I'm a pretty good spreadsheet maker if that would be any help at all.

A. If you would like to do more days, go for it, I can't think of single person who would turn down more goodies.

B. If they don't have a fish extender up, they can't possibly expect you to track them down. I would say if they want to particpate they'll have to have something on the fish to indicate they are participating.

C. Some groups already have an idea of what they are doing others do not. We have Mexican Party night (day 10) You are welcome to join us!!!

D. That's the plan.

E. Right again, see you have the hang of this!

F. Spreadsheet maker, you said the magic word. I'll bet someone has a job for you.

I have to tell you Holly, this actually happened to me once. I coughed so hard that I fainted from lack of oxygen. I had just gotten up out of a chair, and was on my way to get a kleenex when it all went blank. Next thing I know, I am on the floor, with a big raspberry on my face (where it slid on the carpet) and a broken wooden trash can that I clipped on the way down.

It was really weird, as I have never lost consciousness before. I went to the hospital, and my bronchitis was so bad, they gave me steroids to clear up the cough as well as antibiotic. From that point on, I don't mess around with a cold (which for me will always turn into bronchitis if I don't get on meds right away).

I know Tyler's is viral, but keep your eye on him, and don't let him get up if he is coughing violently.

OMG I have never heard of that happening! That would be so scary. I guess I know better then to try and be super woman next time I have a coughing fit.

They ran out in Dec. So many people on cpaps now I guess. We had borrowed one our first cruise way back, always brought our own until last Dec when we forgot. We did not think about it until bed time and by then all were loaned out.

It's still out there. Just in a different part of the backyard. But yes it is a little buried right now, but won't be for long. The girls are already asking abot skating on it.

Deb...take care of that leg and keep that pressure on! Did you say that you have been fitted for the support stockings? That is one of the first steps I do with my patients who are having swelling issues. The ones that are fitted and a specific strength work so much better than the ones you get in stores.

Kaylee, we passed over the stockings and went straight for the boot. I ordered it today and I'm waiting for a call to see when it's going to arrive. I have to use it one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. We'll see how that works with the edema.

Us too - getting a bunch here that I just blew away in time for the now ice storm that is approaching. That ought to put a nice layer of ice on the concrete driveway. The dog loves it though!

Could turn this into a game onboard. Something like hot potato. If you find the dreaded fish of doom on your door you have to "catch" them ie remove them by taking them off your door and sticking the magnet to someone elses door.

We're already playing tag with a Mickey head.....we should make it a fish Mickey head......ha, ha, ha!!!
