Wow, this thread is a little overwhelming, so I thought I'd jump right in. We're flying down on Friday night the 9th and are staying at the Hyatt MCO.

I had the same problems Saturday night as everyone else. I had wanted Palo high tea, but it was gone by the time I managed to get in at 5:30 AM.

I did book dinner at Palo. I also booked the harbor cruise and the outdoor adventure.

So, I'm a bit overwhelmed by everything going on with this cruise. I haven't really thought much about it until final payment was due.

I don't even know where I should begin! What should I be joining in with? I am in desperate need of some planning assistance!

If you are on the 8:30 Harbor Cruise then you are with us and a bunch of other DISers! Welcome. There is a DIS meet at the Hyatt, but I'm not involved with that one so someone else will have to give you the details.

You can also crack or "sprain" ribs. So if he starts complaining of pain get him checked.

SO THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED...

WE FLEW INTO HOUSTON TONIGHT... STOPOVER IN BALTIMORE... A BIT ROUGH... PRAYED A FEW TIMES (GOD AND I ARE GETTING VERY CLOSE THIS TRIP AND I AM ALREADY FRIENDS WITH MANY SAINTS...)

MY SISTER PICKED US UP - LUCKILY AT THE AIRPORT CLOSE TO HER HOUSE BECAUSE MY NEPHEW WHO WE WERE HERE TO SURPRISE WAS ALREADY STARTING TO CALL FOR A PICK UP FROM SCHOOL.

HE'S IN THE DRAMA THEATER PROGRAM AND BEAT OUT ALL THE JUNIORS AND SENIORS FOR THE LEAD IN THE HIGH SCHOOL PLAY!!!!

MY MOM AND I GOT THIS CRAZY IDEA THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO COME DOWN AND SEE HIM PERFORM IN PERSON - I WANTED TO SURPRISE HIM - SNEAK INTO THE THEATER AND SIT IN THE BACK, BUT MY SISTER TALKED ME INTO COMING A FEW DAYS EARLY AND IT WAS A GOOD IDEA SEEING AS I WAS AFRAID HE WOULD SEE ME AND FORGET EVERY LINE HE WAS TO UTTER IN THE PLAY...

WELL HE WAS CALLING AND TEXTING AND WE'RE RUNNING LIKE CRAZY DOWN THE HIGHWAY TO GET TO HIM AND WHEN WE GOT TO THE SCHOOL, I GOT OUT AND STOOD BY THE TRUNK OF THE CAR WAITING FOR HIM TO COME OUT.

HE STEPPED OUT OF THE THEATER DOOR...

I SAID... "HEY STRANGER..."

HE STOPPED DEAD IN HIS TRACKS AND LITERALLY SCREAMED

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE???????????"

& THEN HE DROPPED TO THE GROUND.

NOT INTO DRAMA IS HE?????

I BENT DOWN AND WHISPERED TO HIM...

"WE CAME TO SEE YOU STAR IN THE PLAY!!!"

I PICKED HIM UP AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THE KID NEARLY TACKLED ME TO THE GROUND!!!

SHOCKED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT....

I THINK HE'S STILL IN SHOCK

(I DID MAKE HIM GIVE ME THE FIRST LINE OF THE SCRIPT OVER DINNER SO I KNEW HE STILL REMEMBERED HIS LINES...)

SO I GUESS I'M STILL AUNT OF THE YEAR...

I WILL BE SITTING IN THE FRONT ROW (I WAS TOLD I MUST BE!!!)

AND WILL POST AT LEAST ONE PICTURE HERE WHEN I GET THE CHANCE!!!

(OH, AND I BROUGHT HIM HIS FAVORITE COOKIES...)

When Ethan got his tonsils out he told me he hated me mostest of in the whole world, so that is weird. Almost the same words!

Oh, thank you for letting me know that other kids say this! Yes, I know older kids do, but I never thought really little kids would.

OK I will coordinate with Karen and make sure we get the juice to the party. I have the list of names and how many sippers and how many tasters etc. So I will get the party started with the goods! NO BYO!!!

When we're ready to order I will get a price from Karen and we'll split it up according to categories on the list. Just to keep things fair.

I don't know what we'll do with the DVD though. We'll see.

If the party can take place in a suite, then a DVD will be there!! If we can work it out to do it elsewhere on the ship (and we are still working on that...) then there is always a possiblity of it being provided as well.

So....am I the only one who does things like this?!

My step dad emailed me today that he needed a copy of my birth cert for some paperwork he is doing for our business. No problem. Go home, into safe and find all 4 passports (phew) and scott's birth certificate. Not mine or the girls. Think for a minute and remember that during the move I put them somewhere safe so I could find them.....I cannot think of where that is and I have been tearing this house apart. Why didn't I just leave it in the safe where I knew it was? Why do I always "move things to a safer place"? Does anyone else do this and if so, can you remember where my birth certificates are?!

Just send for a new one. I have two for both Dennis and I because of exactly that same thing. Where'd I put it? They showed up after I got the second set.

Thanks Karen. I think Deb and I get caught up in our giddy planning and we totally forget what's going on. We'll give it some time and it will fall into place.

I got a call this weekend about my mask fitting (for the cpap machine (for the newbies)). I get to go this Thursday....not sure how long it will take before I get the machine, but at least the ball is rolling!

Watched the PBS/BBC show "Pride and Prejudice" last night (well, 1st part anyways). I know I don't need to watch it on tv as I have the DVDs but I just looooooooove this rendition.

I don't know how it will be for you, but I got my machine the same day I got fitted for my mask. I don't know what kind of mask you are getting, but I got the nasal pillow that just rests up against your nose, and your face is not covered. I adjusted to it much easier than I expected. If your machine has a humidifier(and it prob. will), you can fill out the medical form on DCL site, and fax it to them letting them know you will need distilled water for your humidifier. They will have a gallon of distilled water on board for you, and all you have to do is call them when you get to your room, and they will bring it to you. Much easier than carrying it on board. I'm sure we'll have at least a dozen people/families at the Hyatt meet. How many bottles are in a case? (how heavy?) I know I'll be ordering a couple of bottles of Banfi to go in that puppy!

12 bottles in a case. I was originally planning to include the Banfi Rose Regale in the Champagne Girls tasting, but since there is a new RR Tasting, I will exclude it from the Champagne tasting and just ship bottles to those that want it for personal consumption on the cruise, and/or for the RR tasting. It is available onboard, but my guess is that even with shipping, it will be less expensive through us.

So Karen-I'm confused...can you guys ship to the ship or only to the hotels?

We can no longer ship to the port (or ship). The last week that this was allowed was the week we went in November. They are fine with "beverages" being brought on board, so we can ship to Hotels.
