I was just wondering the other day....."who was organizing bunco?" There was a fairly large number of people on that list, wasn't there? I wonder if DCL will help us with a location, if we have too many tables to try and do it poolside?

OK....need a few minutes vegging in front of the tv, then it's bedtime...still behind in my sleep as I didn't nap on Sunday.

....later kids....

.

I think we were up to 60 at one point!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: So many cancelled.

We will decide where to do this, when we figure out how many. We can always use Promenade Lounge....lots of tables there!!

Doing a drive by post...but I wanted to share my recent interaction with DCL...

so, I mentioned that we are booked on the outdoor adventure:cool1: and I could not figure out how it happened as I didn't do it and when Lisa tried to do it for us it said we were already booked. I was confused but was happy I was booked. Scott let me know that DCL got my email from Saturday night (my not so "PC" written one) and they called this am to see if they could help. I don't know if that is the reason that the OA all of a sudden opened up and we were all able to book it, YEAH! But, I was impressed that they got my email and took the time to call to personally talk with me (or talk with scott). So, for me, DCL raised a few points in my book.

So here's my DCL interaction. I had fired off an e-mail immediately after I got the error message telling me I either had not paid in full or DCL didn't have my birthdates. Mine also was not so "pc". Anyhoo, this is what I got in return:
Dear Lori,

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

Upon reviewing your reservation, I see that you were able to pre-reserve
Palo dining. Initially, you were unable to access My Cruise Plans
because the window to pre-reserve actually opened on 2/10/08.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

Jeanette

Disney Cruise Vacations

Now there's nothing wrong with this response, per se, except that dear Jeanette from the Reservations Department was totally wrong about when the reservation window opened up. Don't you think they should know this stuff? I mean, we all did. :confused3 I have to admit I had to point that out to her. ;) No response yet. I guess she didn't like my snarky response. Oops.

Well you know I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I thought you'd think so but I didn't know if you were still on. We both have been on all day. I would go do a load of dishes and come back and check. And then off to another chore and back on. I have FINALLY figured out how to keep up!

I am caught up!! But I know I won't be for long. My heard drive crashed on my laptop last night. Luckily, I do not own that computer, it belongs to my company. I had to drive this afternoon to one of our computer service areas...100 miles from my home. YUCK...that is when I found out the hard drive was gone.

Of course, I had not backed it up at all.....so my bosses boss was thrillede to hear it would cost $1000 to recover the data.....I guess I will find out if I am worth it to them:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

While the group was working on getting all the company software loaded on a new laptop for me.....my Blackberry stopped working :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

So i go in and ask the guy working on my stuff....if a bad hard drive could cause me problems on this new Blackberry....he laughed at me......until he looked at all these BIG RED X's on my screen.....He was like :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Then the news came across that the RIM BLackberry satellite was not working (broke at 3:30pm) and all of North America had no Blackberry service!!

My life is run by technology....:headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:
Oh, that would stress me out! I'm so technologically challenged! :scared1: But good news that nothing was permanently wrong with your Blackberry! I hope everything can be recovered from your company laptop. Yikes!

Hi Guys!!

I have been away for more than 24hrs :scared1: just had too much to do ... couldn't let myself be distracted by DIS. ;)

I will be busy catching up on the past 30-40 pages ... just wanted y'all to know I was here!! :rotfl:

:tinker: Karen

Wow, this thread is a little overwhelming, so I thought I'd jump right in. We're flying down on Friday night the 9th and are staying at the Hyatt MCO.

I had the same problems Saturday night as everyone else. I had wanted Palo high tea, but it was gone by the time I managed to get in at 5:30 AM.

I did book dinner at Palo. I also booked the harbor cruise and the outdoor adventure.

So, I'm a bit overwhelmed by everything going on with this cruise. I haven't really thought much about it until final payment was due.

I don't even know where I should begin! What should I be joining in with? I am in desperate need of some planning assistance!:scared1:

Hi Ian! We're staying at the Hyatt too. I'll be on the Outdoor Adventure also along with Kaylee, Scott, Monica and Nan...not sure if anyone else is joining us. Should be fun!

That's exactly what everybody else does.....you figured it out! You have earned your ears and can now change that line if you want to. Write whatever you want.

I love your champagne girls more because it's bigger. I think it looks awesome.

We are planning to book a zipline tour independently in Puerta Vallarta because their minimum age is 6 versus 10 years old for DCL & we want to take DS7. I checked out the company on tripadvisor and they are highly recommended. But the company recommends an 11:00 am tour if you are coming in on a cruise ship. This makes me nervous about missing the ship because the tour lasts 4 hours. I asked about an earlier time and got this response:
Hi Lori,

The 11 am tour will get you back to the pier by 3:30 pm.

Th earliest I can offer you is 10 am. You need to be at the office by 9: 40
am.

If you arrive late we don't gurantee spaces and there is no refund.

I look forward to booking your tour.

Thank you.

Aby.

What do you all think? I am tempted to go for the 10:00 am because I'm so nervous about running late. PV isn't a tender port, is it? That would definitely help. With the Magic getting in at 7:30, when would we be allowed off the ship? The tour office is about a 20-minute taxi ride from the dock. Help!

Well I just got some good news from my TA.

DCL owes me $116!!

When I booked the cruise my wife and I did it online ourselves and then transfered it to a TA. When we booked we added ground transportation from the airport and then back to the airport (as that was the only choice).

However, we have now changed that to have the bus pick us up at the resort and then we are taking SuperShuttle back to our hotel in LA.

So that results in a difference of $116 to the good for us!!

woohoo happy dance. :woohoo:

That is really good news because it looks like in my photographing fun today, I might have broken my camera. So now I might have to buy a new one....

But on another good note I did find this smilie that I think we might enjoy ...

I've been trying to think of something clever but really "Earning My Ears" is exactly what I am doing. I'll give it some thought! Maybe after a few glasses of champagne!

Just a quick note to say that we decided to take a different trip this year. We put our toe in the water for this cruise after the May repo last year, and the price/uncertainty for a gty just did not work for us, plus a 2+ week trip was not good for work this year given that we are committed to 2 weeks for Food & Wine in the fall already (pesky work! don't they know I have Disney trips to go on?). We are using miles to go to the Big Island for 8 nights. I know you will all have a FABULOUS time and look forward to seeing old friends on a later cruise and making new ones! I know this would have been a wonderful trip, but the stars just were not in alignment for us here. Here's hoping for a really great repo the next time around. I know you will all have an incredible time.

So....am I the only one who does things like this?! :confused3

My step dad emailed me today that he needed a copy of my birth cert for some paperwork he is doing for our business. No problem. Go home, into safe and find all 4 passports (phew) and scott's birth certificate. Not mine or the girls. Think for a minute and remember that during the move I put them somewhere safe so I could find them.....I cannot think of where that is and I have been tearing this house apart. :headache: Why didn't I just leave it in the safe where I knew it was? Why do I always "move things to a safer place"? Does anyone else do this and if so, can you remember where my birth certificates are?! :lmao:

I would think you would be fine going for the 10 am one. The 11 would just make me too nervous, like you said. Our zip tour starts at 8am, so I am sure the 10am one would be fine for you.

I am not lying right now but every time I use my birth certificate I give it back to my mommy so I know where it is next time I need it. Of course I haven't needed it for a while but I am wondering if I should give it back to her now that we have our passports!!!

Tell us what you love about Mickey, if you'd like.

Did you get your excursions booked Sat night? Did you have problems too?
