Hi anyone in the group doing excursions on their own as a group? Have you found prices cheaper than with Disney. Did the transatlantic last year felt excursions were high priced. Also anyone from Oregon going? DH and I are from Beaverton. :upsidedow

The Tamiflu made him throw up. Poor guy. Just as he was headed to bed, and as I was telling him he can't sleep in his bed tonight (he has a loft bed), he stopped at the bottom of the ladder and threw up. He was all worried because it landed on his Captain Jack costume hat. Never fear, mom can clean that! :goodvibes

Anyway, fever is still 103, so more Motrin. I fixed him up on the couch (opens into a bed) and told him I'd be sleeping there with him. He was half asleep or delirious, but whispered, "Mom, don't forget a pillow for you. And a blanket for you." How sweet is he, that even though he's so out of it with how sick he is, he still thought of me. How did I get lucky enough to have such a loving kid? :goodvibes He's so tired, but could't fall asleep and was watching me play spider solitaire on the computer while I rubbed his back. He whispered, "Win the game mom". :rotfl: A bit later he whispered to me, "Don't forget to sleep mom...you need sleep too". GOOD GRIEF, he's like a pint-sized grownup! ;)

Here's the kicker.....it will make some of you cry, sorry! He's been lying there unable to sleep, just staring with red-rimmed glazed eyes, then he says, "Praise the Lord mom.....please". I said OK and he repeated, "Please". Not sure if he wanted me to pray for him or what, but that's what I did....just a short little request to help him get better quickly. He said, "Thanks mom" and immediately fell asleep! Brought tears to my eyes for sure!

He is the most incredible little man ever! What a sweet and loving soul! You did make a good one Holly.....he is from you!

And Mazatlan was.......:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Two and a half hours left to go......I took a one hour cat nap. I just couldn't sleep. I'm anxious and I'm afraid that I'll fall asleep at midnight and won't get anything booked. So I'm staying awake.

Yep, pour me another cup of coffee.:surfweb:

Switching up the candy talk here a bit . . .

My weakness is ice cream. Just about everything else I give up when I am eating better is not too hard, but ice cream is very difficult.

We have a great ice cream place nearby that makes it on site.

Favorite Flavors:

Coffee Chocolate Chip - Coffee Ice Cream with dark chocolate chips

Chocoholic Chunk - Dark Chocolate Ice Cream with Dark Chocolate chips

And in case you sense a theme here . . .

Cake Batter - Tastes just like licking the bowl from your mom's yellow cake mix!

Ice cream, beer, disney...

We are going to get along just fine John!!! LOL:cool1:

It sounds great, but I cant help but think there will be a much older crowd than normal.

On the other cruises, families with kids are less likely to go to Palo, because they want to eat with the kids. (my thinking)

I think there will be more people traveling without the munchkins.

Does this make sense?

This is exactly what we did last cruise. We wanted to eat with the kids all the time, so we never did a Palo's. My DD6 loved our server, Charmaine, so much she didn't want to be left in the kids club and miss supper at all! We had to pick her up regardless of what she was doing to go to dinner each night. One night we were late getting there and they had her lined up to go with the other kids, she was quite some worried we had forgotten to get her. But Daddy came in and saved the day!! ;)

We are fom Newberg. Just over Chehalem Mountain from you. DH works in Beaverton once in a while. I work at the VA Hospital and come home thru Beaverton when I want to stop at Safeway for gas.

The BIG ones! I don't think I've ever seen small ones. I actually broke down and bought one of the big ones today at Walmart! :goodvibes

The BIG ones are the best - they are better to me than anything else Reeses - don't know why.

I think we got the several cups from our servers. It was my sis that was sick and I suppose they may have charged her for the glasses they brought from room service. It is pretty sad that they would not bring that free since the DR said he should be drinking it. :sad2:

Thats what I thought too - so we are bringing some this time. Our head server was great though - people question tipping them but they really do play a very important role.

:lmao: :rotfl: With enough tequilla we might! :lmao:

It makes sense but I disagree. I hope there are fewer kids on board but there sure seem to be a bunch based on this board. On a two week cruise I think parents would be more likely to want a grownup night and to stash the kids in the club.

I hope there are lots of families with kids on board. :yay:

The adult friendly spaces on the boat are kind of small. More families with kids means less folks at Serenity Bay, cove cafe, the adult pool, and so on.
