It's my 10 year old b-day party tonight - we have a couple rooms at a local hotel that has an indoor pool. 8 boys, including my 4. We will spend the night. Tomorrow I have a 10:45 flight to MSP to attend my Grandmother's service. I am SOOOOOOOO VERRRRYYYYYYY HAPPPYYYYYY about this. It will make going to the funeral a little easier. I'm sure my Grandmother would think it is a great idea for us to spend 15 nights together. Life goes by like a blink.

Do you know what days are formal and semi Formal nights? Last repo I believe we had 4 nights all together.

On the Palo bookings . . .

Since they are still allowing just one per party (one dinner and one brunch, etc.) . . .

And since we have TWICE as many nights PLUS one on this cruise . . .

Don't you think it should be EASIER to get a Palo reservation?

I know if you want multiples once we get on the ship, that may be more difficult to achieve, but I keep thinking there should be twice as much availability as on a normal 7 day, and everyone should be able to be happy!

Am I thinking incorrectly somehow here?

Seems right to me also. And we have lots more sea days, so lots more brunches and teas. Hope we are right

WooHoo Lisa, I am so very happy for you too. I know we have all been sitting on pins & needles waiting to see what the final decision would be. This is really really great news. I'm sure your Grandmother is smiling down and is as happy as you are.

It sounds great, but I cant help but think there will be a much older crowd than normal.

On the other cruises, families with kids are less likely to go to Palo, because they want to eat with the kids. (my thinking)

I think there will be more people traveling without the munchkins.

Switching up the candy talk here a bit . . .

My weakness is ice cream. Just about everything else I give up when I am eating better is not too hard, but ice cream is very difficult.

We have a great ice cream place nearby that makes it on site.

Favorite Flavors:

The BIG ones! I don't think I've ever seen small ones. I actually broke down and bought one of the big ones today at Walmart!

If you get seasick room service will bring you ginger ale and green apples. The green apples worked wonders in Dec when we were sailing thru 30 foot swells. Lots of sick people and the CMs were all saying eat green apples.

Yes you can get ginger ale from room service BUT it is $2.50 per can. They would not bring it to us at no charge even though the Dr. said that was all hubby could have when he was having his gallbladder attack. We purchased 2 cans that lasted till dinner and then our wonder head server put us together several cups in to go cups to have in the room for him. Also it took about 30 minutes to get that order from room service for him to have (never figured out why it took so long)

So while I will gladly pay for laundry service I just do not want to pay $2.50 per can of gingerale. I know I should not care over that small amount in the big picture but it is just one of those things with me . . . (we also usually do not purchase soft drinks when we eat out unless it is part of a combo either)

Anyone who wants to do brunch with or without a group should be booking a ressie tonight. DCL will not notify those who sent requests for the private room until 30 days before sailing. With special guests, entertainers, Disney executives, etc. We may or may not get the ressies for the private room we have requested.

Gina, I think you should be safe and make a Palo booking anyway in case the group one does not come through.

They will only allow you to have one advance booking.....so book it tonight as a back up in case the group one does not work out for some reason. If they end up booking you with a group, they will automatically take you off the list individually.

Hey, how are you.....so glad you're PIF and still coming with us. We're scared of losing our core family of DISers and are happy when they can all come. Great to see you made it onboard.
