It sounds great, but I cant help but think there will be a much older crowd than normal.

On the other cruises, families with kids are less likely to go to Palo, because they want to eat with the kids. (my thinking)

I think there will be more people traveling without the munchkins.

Does this make sense?

It makes sense but I disagree. I hope there are fewer kids on board but there sure seem to be a bunch based on this board. On a two week cruise I think parents would be more likely to want a grownup night and to stash the kids in the club.

OK, so is there a way to know if we made it onto the brunch list??

I know I forwarded our information a couple of times, but I'm not positive we got booked with the group. Otherwise I want to try to book a Palo brunch tonight.

Book brunch for yourself. IF we get the group room then your individual reservation will be canceled by DCL.

And Tillamook Vanilla Bean is our favorite ice cream...both of us. Put that in a bit of Root Beer and it is even better!!

I thought Darrell was the only fan of plain vanilla.

My store brands are Ben & Jerrys Willie Nelson Peach, B & J Cinnamon Bun, Dreyers Peppermint, and Safeway brand Moose Tracks (choc ice cream with mini reese cups and fundge swirls).

Out I like Cold Stone Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip.

It's my 10 year old b-day party tonight - we have a couple rooms at a local hotel that has an indoor pool. 8 boys, including my 4. We will spend the night. Tomorrow I have a 10:45 flight to MSP to attend my Grandmother's service. I am SOOOOOOOO VERRRRYYYYYYY HAPPPYYYYYY about this. It will make going to the funeral a little easier. I'm sure my Grandmother would think it is a great idea for us to spend 15 nights together. Life goes by like a blink.

They will only allow you to have one advance booking.....so book it tonight as a back up in case the group one does not work out for some reason. If they end up booking you with a group, they will automatically take you off the list individually.

Hey, how are you.....so glad you're PIF and still coming with us. We're scared of losing our core family of DISers and are happy when they can all come. Great to see you made it onboard.

Hey Deb!! I'm so glad we were able to PIF too. I HAD to make this vacation happen, though it's meant working 7 day weeks, which is why I haven't been around since the beginning of the year. I have really missed chatting with you guys!

It is taking 10 minutes to retreive my reservation so I'm hoping to just be able to refresh to access on-line plans.

Yes you can get ginger ale from room service BUT it is $2.50 per can. They would not bring it to us at no charge even though the Dr. said that was all hubby could have when he was having his gallbladder attack. We purchased 2 cans that lasted till dinner and then our wonder head server put us together several cups in to go cups to have in the room for him. Also it took about 30 minutes to get that order from room service for him to have (never figured out why it took so long)

So while I will gladly pay for laundry service I just do not want to pay $2.50 per can of gingerale. I know I should not care over that small amount in the big picture but it is just one of those things with me . . . (we also usually do not purchase soft drinks when we eat out unless it is part of a combo either)

I think we got the several cups from our servers. It was my sis that was sick and I suppose they may have charged her for the glasses they brought from room service. It is pretty sad that they would not bring that free since the DR said he should be drinking it.

The Tamiflu made him throw up. Poor guy. Just as he was headed to bed, and as I was telling him he can't sleep in his bed tonight (he has a loft bed), he stopped at the bottom of the ladder and threw up. He was all worried because it landed on his Captain Jack costume hat. Never fear, mom can clean that!

Anyway, fever is still 103, so more Motrin. I fixed him up on the couch (opens into a bed) and told him I'd be sleeping there with him. He was half asleep or delirious, but whispered, "Mom, don't forget a pillow for you. And a blanket for you." How sweet is he, that even though he's so out of it with how sick he is, he still thought of me. How did I get lucky enough to have such a loving kid? He's so tired, but could't fall asleep and was watching me play spider solitaire on the computer while I rubbed his back. He whispered, "Win the game mom". A bit later he whispered to me, "Don't forget to sleep mom...you need sleep too". GOOD GRIEF, he's like a pint-sized grownup!

Here's the kicker.....it will make some of you cry, sorry! He's been lying there unable to sleep, just staring with red-rimmed glazed eyes, then he says, "Praise the Lord mom.....please". I said OK and he repeated, "Please". Not sure if he wanted me to pray for him or what, but that's what I did....just a short little request to help him get better quickly. He said, "Thanks mom" and immediately fell asleep! Brought tears to my eyes for sure!

That is amazing. Out of the mouths of babes.
