May 1, 2016 - Magic 7 nt cruise!

Hi Everyone - One week until we are all on the ship!

Just a reminder for the FE Group, I will have a master list on my door (#6101). If you change cabins please indicate that on the list by 8:00 pm on Sunday. Everyone else will need to check the list sometime after that to get the updates. We are so excited!

I know a lot of people have talked about meeting up so let's do it on Monday at 10 am. What do you think about meeting up outside the Oceaneers Club, that way the kids can possibly hang out and the adults can find somewhere comfortable to mingle.

This sounds like an awesome plan. This will be great for the kids to make some friends and get to meet the people we've all been "chatting" with.

I'm busy today but will try to get another FE list out including the original names and the new, additional optional names.

I'm wondering if anyone else was complaining about how far away vacation was and now that it's quickly approaching, complaining that you won't be ready in time! I feel like I have so much to do yet this week. The only thing that's keeping me sane is knowing that this time next week, I'll be sleeping on a cruise ship on my way to the Caribbean :)

I am totally freaking out about what I still need to do and fortunately/unfortunately, we leave Thursday night. How does it simultaneously take so long and the move so fast to get here?

Thanks for updating us on the latest. I have included the two newest cabins as part of my FE list.

They gave very good ideas to spend time with your husband to celebrate your anniversary.
We have 1 weekend left!!!:sail:
If anyone have an idea on if and how to meet please share. This is my first time participating in the FE and don't know if other have made arrangement to meet somewhere.
party:

If folks are looking to meet at the beginning of the cruise - we could informally meet up in a common area at a designated time. In the past we usually met in the atrium (a bit busy) or in one of the bar areas.

The group page on the book of faces (fun active group if you haven't joined yet!) is meeting on Embarkation day at 3:00 on the ESPN sports deck. That's where we will be and we would love to see more friendly faces there !! They also have cards to hand out for lanyards to designate us as part of the group. Not too late to join in :D

We will do our best, as this is our first cruise I am sure we might be doing something! LOL

Hi all..

I know this is super last minute, but I wanted to let everyone know about an opportunity in Tortola if you are still looking for something to do. Our family of four, (DD5 and DS3) are going to snorkel, go to Norman Island, and visit the baths with Patouche Charters. I talked with Joe this morning and right now our family is the only on the boat that day. While we would have a blast just the four of us, we were looking forward to meeting a few others on the tour. With the little ones, this should be a pretty leisurely paced day. I think the cost is $125 for adults and $75 for kids. It includes drinks and snacks on the boat and the all day tour. You can find their contact info online if you are interested. Should be a great day. Can't wait for Sunday!

Thank you for the updated list! Our family is so excited to a part of this. We will try to meet the group on Monday @ 10. My kids would love to meet the other kids too. Can't believe it is almost time!! Flying out tomorrow.

I'm soooooo excited!!! Leaving soon for the airport hotel....that is after I finish straightening up the house, running to Target and folding laundry. Lol. See everyone Monday morning.

Thank you to all of our FE gift givers! We had a great time participating and loved the gifts!!

Want to take this moment to thank everyone for the FE gifts. The creativity was so awesome and the thought and love that each one of you put into them was felt when I looked at my extender. I am so sorry I was not able to meet everyone that Monday morning but we had a couple spa, my daughter did get to go and said that everyone was very nice. I would definitely do it again.

I just got home last night from this wonderful cruise. It had been many years since our last Disney cruise so it was almost like a brand new experience. I not only loved everything about the ship, ports, and food but I also enjoyed seeing the FE and the way people had their doors decorated. The only disappointment was the cancellation of pin trading, but I did get some good trades in before all pins were pulled.

Also wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone that participated in the FE. My kids loved coming to the room and seeing items in their pockets. I couldn't believe all of the time, money, blood, sweat and tears that went into the gifts. Everyone's gifts, BY FAR, exceeded our expectations. I don't know about everyone else, but this was definitely our family's favorite vacation. From the weather, to the destinations to the servive -what a great trip.

On a side topic, was anyone aware of a "stomach bug" that was going around the ship? Our server told us that a documented number of people went to the health room for issues involving vomiting and other stomach ailments. He noted that was why they implemented their protocol with having everything hand-served by employees (including the fountain drinks and buffet items). My husband ended up violently ill the day after we returned. My son was vomiting the whole last night of our cruise. Wasn't sure if anyone else had the same issues.

We had heard there was a virus but it was from another cruiser. Didn't realize it was actually true til we saw all the extra crew at the buffet for breakfast the next morning handing us everything.
