May 1, 2016 - Magic 7 nt cruise!

So so excited about our cruise! We will have our two littles (2 and 4) with us, but I want to do something special for my husband. We are there celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I would arrange for your kids to be in a club (I'm guessing your youngest will cost extra for a sitter?) for that evening. Either make a reservation for a special dinner or just see a movie and stop in at one of the adult bars. My husband and I just enjoy the time to relax without the kids and act like adults. Or just go back to your room and nap :)

Finally finished our FE's. Just not too sure how I'm going to pack them all :)

If you can, book the Brunch in Palo, its offered on the days at sea and it is a champagne brunch that costs extra but is SO WORTH IT!!! You would have to take the kids to the club or nursery but it lasts 2 hours. If the brunch is booked, wait until you get on board and go to Palo the moment you get on board and put your name on the list and they usually get you in. It is the one thing we do EVERY cruise as a couple. The kids know they have to go to the club for those 2 hours just so we can go. The chicken parmesaen is something i think about all year long!

Can't wait!! It's almost time to head to the airport! My 3 year old is so excited! As far as FE do we deliver our gifts any day we want? And at any time? First time doing this.... it would be nice to meet FE group. SO EXCITED!!!!

They gave very good ideas to spend time with your husband to celebrate your anniversary.
We have 1 weekend left!!!:sail:
If anyone have an idea on if and how to meet please share. This is my first time participating in the FE and don't know if other have made arrangement to meet somewhere.

No formal arrangements have been made that I am aware of.

If folks are looking to meet at the beginning of the cruise - we could informally meet up in a common area at a designated time. In the past we usually met in the atrium (a bit busy) or in one of the bar areas.

Hi everyone! I am a recent widow and am taking my two kids, Son 11 yrs old and daughter 9 yrs old on this cruise along with grandparents. I had no idea about this FE sign up so I'm just throwing our info out there in hopes that even if my children receive notes or tiny trinkets in their FE that'd be fabulous for them. Any thing would be a wonderful surprise for them to receive. Our last cruise was 4 years ago with my husband and we had never heard of FE. I'm trying to make this cruise as fun and memorable as our last one in 2012.

Daughter - Sydney, age 9.

Melmom,

I'll try to pick up a few items for your kiddies. The full list is a few pages back along with a map of everyone's locations. I'm glad you and the kids will get some time to enjoy spending time with each other and not deal with the stress of every day life. My son is also 11 (Christopher). Maybe we could
introduce them. He's a little nervous about not making any friends.

We will include you. We were late comers too and generous families decided to let us in. I'm happy to pay that forward!

That'd be great for them to have a friend on the ship. My kids were military brats so they're quite used to making new friends!

I don't know about everyone else but I can not wait until this cruise!!! My hubby and kids aren't even talking about it. So, this site is all that I have. Lol. Just looking forward to the heat and sand and even watching a movie or two on the boat. Actually, I'm looking forward to every aspect! Anyway, hoping that some of us with similar aged kids could try to meet up as well. That would be great to have them make friends right away so that they have a buddy in the kids club. I saw that a bunch of us have girls (mine is 8). My son is 11 so I'm guessing he'll be rotating between the tween club and the younger kid club.

My daughter is 8 and my son is 10 1/2. They both are excited to be in the Oceanears club!! Maybe they will meet.

Hi Melissa! I've added your family to my list and have picked up some FE's for all of you. I was a late sign up too but everyone in this group is very warm and welcoming. I hope you have a wonderful cruise!!

Does anyone know the hours for the Oceaneers Club? Maybe we could have some of the kids who are around the same age meet on the first day. My kids are 11 (son) and 8 (daughter).

Does anyone know if you can "advertise" on your cabin door that you are a pin trader? I wouldn't mind having other traders knock on my door for a trade while I'm in the cabin.
