We're staying onsite and wondering what the best strategy is for using maxpass during our early morning time. We'd like to ride GOG multiple times and RSR atleast twice, with once being at night. Is it best to go straight to GOG? TIA!

Yes, that's a good plan...we did EMH there today and did GOTG and then RSR and then TSM and screamin all before park open. I also grabbed a FP for guardians w/ maxpass (but could just as easily have pulled paper passes) and we rode again (FP was for 1st open park hour) after we went on Soarin and then we switched parks. You could easily keep grabbing RSR and guardians FP, but if you aren't switching parks then you can probably accomplish just as easily w/ regular paper FP.

I'm planning to get a MaxPass for Guardians (once scanned into the park before EMH but before EMH ropedrop) and then go straight to GotG to ride standby. Then get a MaxPass for Radiator Springs as soon as my window to get one opens (if I get one right at EMH opening it should be at/near park opening). Then wait until that window opens to get another for GotG. After that, keep an eye on the RSR MaxPass times in between getting other MaxPasses for TSM/Soarin etc. until the RSR ones hit sunset time.

Extras: IF you are willing to ride Radiator Springs in the single rider line that frees up MPs for somewhere else. IF you are going before the end of August, you will have access to the Extra Extra Magic Hour after DCA closes to ride GotG for an hour.

Happy riding!

Thank you both! What's the extra extra magic hour? We will be there in 2 weeks.
Still debating whether to get parkhoppers. The last 2 times we went we only hopped once and it seemed a waste. But with maxpass, maybe we would parkhoppers more?

Just looked up the extra extra hour info. Is it just to ride GOG or can we go anywhere in DCA for that hour?

I would skip the PH and use the $ for MaxPass! That's what we did a few weeks ago and there is still plenty to do in both parks.

Thanks so much. So with maxpass, you didn't miss PH? I was thinking if we get rides done quicker and can use maxpass for the park we aren't in, we may want to PH. This decision is starting to stress me out :(

Used Maxpass for the first time today. I think having Max pass is much more worthwhile if you are Park hopping than if you are not. It was great being able to pull fast passes for space while we were eating at dca. We definitely would not have been able to do that without maxpass.

This morning, we pulled fast passes for GOTG just after we went through the turnstiles around 845 for 9 AM EE. Return time 1005 to 1105. Then we rode soarin, then rsr, both standby. Standby for RSR was about 20 minutes at most. It was posted 25 minutes but I don't think it was that long. Then we did GSS standby. Then my kids went on CS also standby less than 10 minute wait. By that time it was just after 10 so I pulled FP for TSMM. Those were immediate return so we went on TSMM right away, before going to GOTG for our FP return. Pulled GRR fps with a very quick return and did that. Had an early lunch at dca and pulled space FPs while we ate. Then my kids went and did single rider at screamin, then we rode Little mermaid before heading to Disneyland park. We were pretty much done with everything we wanted to do at DCA by around noon!

I guess it just depends on your touring style and how long you will be at DLR. We usually do 4 days, 2x each park. We do EVERY ride, shows, down to little frequented areas like in DCA Sorcerer's Workshop, ITTBAB, Bakery Tour, etc. then the next day we switch to the other park and do EVERYTHING in that park. So, we didn't really miss having PH but loved having MaxPass.

Everything at DCA by noon or just the rides?

Thanks, that's what I was thinking we would do too but then found out about extra extra hour at DCA and it will be on a day when we planned to be at DL so now I'm confused again. May just skip PHs and plan on riding GotG on our early morning day.

We aren't huge dca fans so that's all we wanted to do at dca today, the rides listed. Will most likely return later in the week and do Frozen and a few other things like rsr at night. Were also there yesterday night for WOC dessert party, which was great!
