How far from a restaurant can you usually go at WDW and have the pager still working when they page you to let you know that your table is ready?

We have a reservation at Boma and I would love to spend the waiting time at the Savannah outlook but am afraid that it might be outside the reception distance of the pager.

Anyone knows if the pager will work out there?

Sorry I don't believe it goes that far. The pagers are usually set up to not go farther than the normal waiting area.
Probably would be best to set aside some time before or after your meal to enjoy the animals. It has been my experience that when you check in it isn't that long until you are seated. I know some report longer waits, but I really think that is the exception and not the rule.

Enjoy!

I don't think they will be able to go that far. I know at Ohana's they ask that you remain on the 2nd floor for the pager to work.

That's too far.
The Boma/Jiko pagers will work anywhere inbetween the two places, just outside the doors as you head to mara and in the bar above the entry into Boma, but that's about it.

HTH

I agree with the other posters, I don't think the pager will work that far away.

HOWEVER--I have eaten at Boma several times (many? I wonder if I qualify for "many"...either five or six times in the last year at varying dinner times?) and we never seem to have *that* much of a wait for a table there. Hopefully your experience will be the same, you'll be able to enjoy your meal and then have plenty of time to check out the views and other lovely things AKL has to offer.
