Glad to hear that Max is home. A few years ago, my dog Remy had a bunch of dental work (lots of teeth removed... no one in my family has good teeth, I guess), and he was a groggy, unhappy mess for the first day or so. Kibble and warm chicken broth were his friends. Just keep loving on Max, and hopefully he'll be back to himself in a few days.
Another aside - for some reason, this thread reminded me of a garden center on Route 23 in NJ. Photo of Max is Back, Butler NJ
Gee, I wonder why... Does Max know he has his own business? =)
That's great news. Lots of puppy love to Max and hugs to you and Walter too. It's not easy on the caregivers either, especially when you can't explain to your patient that it's going to be better soon.
Thx a mint for the update, Pete. Sending his way for a speedy recovery. Looking fwd to hearing the patter of his feet and a bark on the show soon. Give him a hug from me too!
I was telling DH about Max's problem with incompentence. We had to take Kismet (our Belgian Shepherd) to the vet yesterday. Jim (DH) was saying he admired Pete's restraint with the vets and was thankful that are vets are competent. We were both glad to hear Max came through the surgery and is doing better. We are both keeping him in our thoughts and prayers. Kismet will share her bones with Max to help him get better. Penny
