Our first full day in Florida cullminated(that doesn't look like it's spelled right) with sleeping in after 3 days of waking up early and sitting in the car. I woke up around 11 and sat outside on the porch in the sun for a bit.

After a small lunch, we hopped in the car and drove to Old Town. For those of you who don't know, Old Town is a non-Disney( I know, I'm shocked too) tourist trap where there's a bunch of shops that sell semi-nostalgic things with a cheesy amusement ride in back....think of it as a really cheap version of Downtown Disney. Before getting there, we made a pit stop at Celebration, the Pleasantville-esque Disney owned town. My dad decided we we're going to buy a house there......until he saw the prices and he quickly huddled us into the car and drove off. :p

Take it from me, Old Tow is quaint, but it's a bunch of overpriced gifts with a wannabe Disney decor. Your time(and money) are better spent on Disney property...even Universal( ) is a better alternative. My dad spent $50 in the magic store in his constant struggle to "impress" us. Once again, the guy who worked the wooed him and when he got home to woo us, all he got was a "Okay, now move out of the way of the tv". :p

We came back to the resort before going out to Downtown Disney for dinner. I made PS's for MGM & MK for lunch & dinner, of course charging it all to my parent's credit card  This is my plan.... Dinner @ Tony's Square at MK. For MGM, lunch @ Sci Fi and dinner @ Brown Derby(sans Fantasmic dinner package). I'm really looking forward to it. I had originally asked my family for tomorrow to be ready to be in the car by 8:30. To my surprise, they told me we should go earlier and be in the car by 8! I think my Disney Nazi theories are spreading, although my mother maintains she will not run when the park opens to Test Track. Riiiiiight ;)

At dinner time, we piled back into the car and drove to Downtown Disney. We had decided on the House of Blues for dinner and I was afraid we'd have to wait a while to be able to eat let alone get a table. To my surprise(and delight) the place was empty. The whole day had been overcast and rain was expected so I guess folks stayed away. We walked right in and got a table. I ordered the caesar salad(gotta watch my girlish figure ya know ;) ) and found it really good. The waiter we had was great and the whole experience was wonderful. This place has my thumbs up.

After dinner we browsed some shops at Downtown Disney. We walked by Pleasure Island and I wished that I was going. It started raining so we took shelter in the World of Disney. I decided to get some shopping done so I bought around $50 worth of gifts for my friend from home who has a thing for Tinkerbell. She got a tattoo of tink so I got all these cute tinkerbell adorned items. :)

The rain was getting bad so we decided to head back. Our evening ended with some TV & relaxing. Tomorrow, Epcot!

So no house at Celebration huh? - I can almost see your dad bundling everyone back in the car - thanks for posting!
