Would your mattress still be under warranty?

No sadly we are past the warrenty.

We are also in need of a new mattress. Last one was a Spring Hill and it started sagging after 2 years.

Does anyone here have an IKEA mattress?

I have an IKEA mattress, the Sultan Erfjord. It is a latex mattress. We went through several mattress in the last few years, and all of them developed a dip in them. I decided on latex since that shouldn't happen with that. The mattress is on a platform bed, and is very heavy and very firm. Too firm for me, but we have a gel/memory foam cushion on it along with a pillow top for me. I have horrible knees and need more cushion than DH. I feel better about having a mattress that won't develop the dip and just replacing the top pads. It will be cheaper for us in the long run.

In the research I've done on mattresses, IKEA's seem to be you get what you pay for, some people love them and others say they're junk. Although in thinking about it, that's what's said about every mattress I've researched....

They don't have stores all over the country but if there is an Original Mattress Factory near you, check it out. They are one of the only (if not the only) company still making a mattress that you can flip. I don't see how a non flippable mattress will last long. Sounds like everyone is getting dips and humps in their non flippable mattresses.

I had bad exp with ikea - later I gifted my grandmother Mattress from MattressNextDay she was extremely satisfied with the comfort , then I got one from ClassicBedSteads which was too good.

Because of the kind of service & reviews found on Google about MattressNextDay - I was confident I am landing in good man area...

When we stayed at the Swan a number of years ago, we loved the Heavenly Beds. Made a point of looking at the mattress tag there, and bought that brand/type as a 'drop in' mattress for our former king waterbed.. Loved it for years...but it, too, has developed a dip in the middle. So, it sits in the spare room...still good sleeps left in it for one. We bought a sleep number bed, and love it. Have had ours for 2 years. No problems.

My husband and I will have our king size (Serta) bed delivered this Thursday so I can't speak to how comfortable it will be. However, we bought it from sears and got the set for $599 with free delivery. The best part for us is that we paid for it in cash. We figured that even if it isn't perfect it will last us for 5 years and this will give us time to save up for something even better. This bed will replace the full size bed we have had. It had been fine when it was just me but we have been trying to share it for the last 3 years and it just isn't cutting it.

After falling for the oh so comfortable Dolphin beds we came home and wanted one. I bought the Simmons beauty rest at Macy's and it feels very close to the Dolphin bed. I don't know if they really are the same but I think it feels the same. I think it was a little bit less expensive than the on line real Dolphin bed.

We went mattress shopping today and really liked the simmons beauty rest. It had a very soft enveloping feeling but still very supportive. We are going to wait a few days to decide for sure, but we're really leaning toward this bed.

Love, love, love our sleep number bed. We've had it 1 year, but we bought the top of the line and it was well worth the money. My parents and my DS and BIL and I have one also. We also use foam pillows so we sleep really, really well.

The key to a sleep number bed is getting your number right. We've adjusted a few times in the first 6 months, now it's so comfy. We're in our 50's.

We bought a Tempurpedic Ergo that has a 20 year warranty. For the amount we paid, it had better last.

I hated this bed for the first month but now it's comfortable.

Good to know!! We bought a Bob-o-pedic (a generic tempurpedic from a furniture chain around here) and I am not in love with it. Dh is though. I was not expecting the SMELL. It has been a week and my room still has this weird fresh paint smell It grosses me out a bit thinking about all the fumes I am inhaling.

Has anyone put two twins together to make a king? I'm trying to keep the motion of my husbands 6ft 5 frame from keeping me awake at night.
