How do you do both sides?

If both are open, there's one line that feeds into both sides. You choose which side you want to ride on.
First you go in one line, and then the other.
Karen (tlinden) and I did this on Sunday. We got in for MM, and first we went on the Fantasyland side, then went on the Adventureland side. Since it was early the line really wasn't long at all.![]()

There is an entrance on the Fantasyland side of the mountain and to go on the other side of the mountain you use the Tomorrowland entrance.
The only way to ride both sides of the mountain that I know of is to ride one side then walk to the other entrance and ride the other side.

I haven't been in a lot of years... but I thought the other entrance was in Tomorrowland?
Yea, two sides as everyone is explaining. Sometimes you don't have a choice as they close down one side...my fav side is the tomorrow sideAnd there IS a difference!
Thanks
Even though I've been to DLR quite a few times in the last few years, I haven't been able to figure this out, and this thread isn't helping. Someone talk me through it like I'm a 3 year old.
Is the entrance to each side right as you get to the one structure? Same line, then you change right towards the end? If so, that's much more simple than I thought...I kept looking for two entirely different lines!

For the record I've seen two different things with Matterhorn:
1) 2 separate lines. 1 line going along the TL side of the mountain across from the Nemo lagoon and 1 line going along the FL side of the mountain across from Alice. They meet at the south side of the mountain (by Pixie Hollow) if they ever get that long.
2) 1 line going along the TL side of the mountain which then splits into two lines once it gets to the overhang part.

This doesn't seem to apply to the Matterhorn, though. Seems like that right/FL side often has a shorter line, especially at night towards closing time.

Probably because most people are local's, and most people prefer the Tomorrowland side. A few weeks ago while there, after the split, it was a walk-on to the Fantasyland side, and a about ~5 minute wait for the Tomorrowland side.
Needless to say, we waited the five minutes.![]()
