Matt Ouimet's offer letter from Starwood

Not as rich as my most recent offer sheet, but not bad.

$1,500,000 air travel allowance between now and the end of 2007.

Sorry, I just had to write it out...I was having a hard time getting my arms around that number.

Now I see why my parents told me not to get a Liberal Arts Degree!

That COBRA clause is funny. Like that is going to seal the deal :)

It's like buying someone a car with a fuel/insurance allowance and throwing in a line item for $1.00 reimbursement per year for "Tire air pressure checks".

If this offer letter is legitimate, I think the OP, in this case the moderator for this board use poor judgement in posting it here. The details of Mr. Ouimet's new position are, as it says at the top of the letter "personal and confidential." I am having a problem with this letter being posted here. And furthermore, it is neither a DISNEY rumor OR news.

How would anyone on these boards feel about having the details of their employment published for anyone to see? I'd be willing to bet you would all say it's nobody's business.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is not in the habit of entering phony documents into the public record.

"Personal and confidential" ended when Mr. Ouimet accepted the offer. This is a matter of interest to the shareholders of Starwood Hotels, which is why it is now publically available. Mr. Ouimet knew this from prior experience as Disneyland Resort President, so how he "feels" about it being public knowledge is largely immaterial - but I'd bet he feels pretty good about it.

I thought it was 1,500. Is that one million and a half for air travel? :sad2:

That is a million and a half. I'm guessing he won't be joining Eisner in coach on Jet Blue!

I guess since release of the information is mandated by federal law, and the document itself is posted on the SEC's website, perhaps you should complain about your congressman instead.

Frankly I think all corporations would be run a lot better if these issues were exposed to the shareholders. A good chunk of Disney's problems are caused because the board and management spent two decades hiding stuff from their owners and customers.

:lmao: :rotfl: :teeth: :rotfl2:  :yay:

*Makes me think of a recent "family guy" episode I came across while changing channels. He beat Mike Eisner and fed him to the sharks! LOL...

Didn't know this would be included in a filing

I live and learn everyday.
