I have NO idea how to figure this out.

If it will cost $125,000.00 for a 40% interest in a business, how much percent of the business would $55,000.00 give the person?

Ok take the 125000 and divide that by .4. That will give you the cost of 100% of the business. Divide the 55000 by that number and you will get the percentage 55000 will buy.
