Math, BWV, June Use Year, Oh My...

Is it true that the BWV add-ons are only in 25 pt increments? (i.e., no 30 or 40 pt add-ons -- just 25, 50, 75 etc etc)

I have been doing my math, and while I'd love a 35 pt add-on, I settle for a mere 25. (Actually, I'd love a several hundred pt add-on and the vacation time to use it, but let's not go there...) We are already owners at BWV, so a 25 pt add-on there would make sense.

If I put that on my new Disney Visa... do I get the 1%? (Can't recall what the prior threads said about DVC purchases and cash-back...) I just got the VISA a month ago, so I still have 5 mos to go of interest-free benefit.

With an add-on, do you have to go through as much paper-work as the original contract, or does it literally just "add-on" to your exisiting contract? (The name implies it should be much easier, but what's in a name...)

ONe last ???: I'm a June use year. SHould I just wait and buy on June 1? Or move now? It's not like I have MB to worry about. I realize lots of folks want BWV, but do they think they will sell out totally of these "extra" points before June 2nd? What have any of you heard from your guides on this?

You should just buy now, I guess there is some slight benefit to waiting as your first year pro-rated dues will be slightly lower.

You can buy any number of points that you want. 36, 42, anything at all. There are minimum restrictions on what you can finance and using MB, but there are no restrictions on contract size.

As far as paperwork; We just received a FedEx yesterday with the paperwork for our 40 pt. addon at BCV. It came in the cardboard portfolio just like the original and we must sign all the same papers as the original. Even got another lithograph!

It's still the same contract, but the paperwork is as if it's a separate one. Under number of points owned, it says 40 - I would have preferred some verification saying what our NEW total points is!

We just added BWV and have a June UY. We took the 2002 points contract and are booked next month. We only did this 2 nights ago. How's that for fast action. We bought 50 points but could have bought any number over 25. You can buy a 2003 contract now but your dues start the day you buy. Like we will pay about 21.00 for the 2002 dues(prorated from this week till this May 31 which is all the "use" that is available) and from this week till end of the year for the 2003 points(everyone pays calendar year no matter what UY). So we got 5 nights in a studio at OKW for about 21.00. Very simple math DH knew we couldn't pass that up, what an excuse. We put ours on our new Disney Visa. We are also in the process of a VWL add-on and the paperwork is painless. See Mickey-sign. My health and dental forms are torture by comparison. Good luck deciding.

We just did a 35-point addon last month, so it's not a problem. The 25 points is a minimum, not a fixed increment. Our included BCV lithograph was folded over wrong in its wrapper; I figure they give the defective ones to all us cheapskates making small addons.

My guide did mention, in a joking sort of way, another member who keeps making tiny addons, that it was somewhat of a nuisance and he should just figure out how many points he needs. I asked "But you haven't refused to give him an addon yet, have you?" "OH NO!"

I just bought June use year bwv add on , because I was afraid of it being sold out on june first. I put my 20%on disney visa, and financed until I can pay off (90)pts. My neighbors were already going to disney in may so I had them cancel their cash res. and I booked them into wvl with the points that would expire june1.

I will only waste 6 points, I cannot transfer or sell them because the contract will not closed until june 1.

to me its win, win, I got my add on without closing costs, and easily financed, I got the chance to spread some good will, and I now have a total of 150 bwv points so I will have an 11 month booking window for bwv.
