We are expecting our second child in the beginning of November. We are very excited! Before we found out that we were pregnant, we were planning to take our DD for her first trip to WDW in December. When we found out about the baby, we moved the trip up to May. We had a wonderful time, but I can't stand the thought of not knowing how long it will be before our next trip. DH and I have been a few times alone.
I'm thinking about suprising my DH and DD2 with a very short trip to MVMCP at the end of my maternity leave. Since we only have a few hours to drive, we could leave on the morning we are wanting to go to MVMCP and stay that one night in a hotel out of the park, then drive home the next day.
As long as every thing goes well with rest of pregnancy, delivery, and healthy baby boy arrives, how do you think this will work? I was up and kicking very soon after my first delivery.
I wouldn't make reservations or order tickets until much later. (In case things change.) Most likely, one of the grandmothers would watch our new little bundle for the one night.
I think it would be a great way to show our DD2 how much she means to us and that we love her even though we haven't been able to show her as much attention in the past six weeks as she is used to.
This trip would be farely inexpensive, but logistically, how do you think it would work?
