Matching FP Times with other party

Hi all. We're heading to WDW at the end of May. My party of 4 is staying onsite and we already have our FP reservations. We are meeting up with my MIL and her husband who are staying offsite. Is there any way to match up times for our FP reservations? Their names are listed on our MDE account because I included them in some of our dining reservations. Will using the "Change Party" option work to add them? (They've purchased their tickets but haven't received them yet, so I haven't been able to try. Seems too simple to work but didn't know if there was another option.)
My backup plan is to make their FP for less desirable attractions like Barnstormer etc. for later in the day, because we will hopefully be able to make those for our next choices after we've used our 3.

Just try and add them in an overlapping window. I find that easier than adding them to the existing ones usually.

I definitely will try, but I'm not at all confident that we'll be able to get them the same attractions we have, i.e. FoP, morning for 7DMT, etc. But I'll definitely try.

Just use Change Party and see if the system will add them.

For future trips, anyone listed or linked to your MDX shares your 60-day FP booking window when you include them in your group booking.

They are listed on my MDE, but they don't have tickets linked to their names yet, so it won't let me add them. Additionally, they are not resort guests so they are not able to be added because it's not within 30 days yet. I will have to try again once their tickets are linked, and at 30 days.

As soon as they link their tickets, use Change Party to add them.

It doesn’t matter that they are offsite, if they had tickets linked to them, you could have booked for you and them when you booked at 60 days out.

I will. I just assumed it wouldn't work due to this response:

To continue, please address the issues that apply to these Guests.
Have a vacation package? Looks like you’re early. Please come back 60 days prior to check-in.
Resort reservation within the next 60 days? Check that it’s linked to your account.
Theme park tickets? You need to link them to your account.
No theme park tickets? Purchase admission to start making FastPass+ selections.
Child under age 3? No ticket or FastPass+ is needed.

Another thing you can do if you have to resort to booking overlapping windows for them:

Select you + them
Select date and park
A Warning will show up so remove yourself from the Party
Continue booking for “them” and the window stays open so they can book as soon as the tickets get linked.
