Massages on CC

Has anyone had a massage on Castaway Cay? Does anyone know when you can reserve these? And how much? Is it on the ship or do we have to wait to get there? I've never had one and thought "what a more perfect place"!?!

We booked a massage, but we didn't make it on time... it takes about 35-45 minutes to get to the massage villas from the ship, and we only had 25 minutes in which to do that.

Anyway... you make reservations onboard at the Vista Spa, as soon as you can after boarding.

I booked mine onboard when I first got on. I picked a 1:00 time so that I would have plenty of time to get to the cabana. I had the full body massage (even though I only booked the 1/2 massage--apparently there were 2 of us with the same last name booked at the same time). I think it was about $130 including tip (this was 2 years ago). I am glad I did it, however, it was my first massage, and I didn't know they weren't supposed to hurt--she did a full tissue massage. I was sore for days. I am told by others on this board that my experience was rare. Most people rave about the massages.

Thanks guys - it especially helps to know to reserve later in the day. Is there a "menu" somewhere on-line of the cabana services on CC? Or is it in the spa on the ship?

Becareful not to get sunburn before-hand if you book later in the day. My DH did that on our honeymoon cruise. We had the last appt. of the day before we had to get back on the ship. Lets just say he HURT.

i had the massage on cc and although i enjoyed it i think i would have enjoyed it more by having it on the ship instead. the little huts are nice and your supposed to be taking in the view but your not really looking at the view while receiving the massage, your kind of face down. then my mistake was going back on the beach when i was finished and all the benefit of the massage went out the window. if i had been on the ship i think i would have relaxed more, like in the rain forrest after it was over.
