Mass Transit from Amtrak to Pop Century

Beside car service is there a bus/shuttle/train that goes between Amtrak (Orlando) to Pop Century Resort?

and taxi vs car service what is the price difference?

I think you would be better off grabbing a cab rather than trying for any kind of mass transit. I haven't heard of anyone using it from Amtrak to a resort, but that doesn't mean it's not doable. It just might be difficult.

There is no mass transit from the Orlando station. We always take a town car and the price is any where from $80-$90 depending on the resort you are staying at. We always stay at AKL and the price round trip without tip is $90 and that is the most expensive one due to the distance. There is always taxis there when the train pulls in from Philadelphia has been my experience so catching one shouldn't be a problem.

Last trip to disney, we moved to Pop to ride out Wilma because Amtrak was shut down and after the storm, Kissimmee station and areas south were shut down, we had to board at Orlando station. A cab from Pop to Orlando Amtrak station cost the 2 of us 68.00. We might have got hosed but it was way longer than our usual Kissimmee to WDW cab, which is usually 38.00. Thats my take on differences is distance in stations. Always been told Kissimmee is closer and by what I paid in cab fare, I believe it.

I believe that if you can get yourself from the Orlando Amtrak Station to Orlando Airport you could take Magical Express the rest of the way. In your (required) ME reservation, name a flight, any flight, arriving at the time you expect to get to the airport. Not sure how the city bus (Lynx) routes run.
