Random people in the area tweeting about Ft. Hood - some from the base, some from the city and the Baylor University newspaper in Waco - very interesting to follow.

But some seem to be right there and hearing shots, etc. But that could be anyone.

ABC is now reporting 12 dead and 31 injured. Apparently, the shooter(s)? was/were soldiers. The primary shooter was killed.

How devastating.

Just called DH--been on and off our post all day so when I finally got home and turned on the computer I was like WTH!!

DH is at the range so I called him immediately which is something I never do---anyways--he said they are on alert here and that they don't know for sure if it's soldiers or civilians in uniform. (Army uniforms are a dime a dozen at second hand stores around posts)

My husband had 3 workers on base at the time of the shooting. Praise God they are all ok! They are on lock-down & can't get out but thankfully they are ok!
