Our ds will turn 2 at the end of April so I’m thinking we may want to start practicing masks with him. Does anyone’s toddler have a favorite brand of mask?

Happy Masks! Our toddler had to change masks 2-3 times to make it through his preschool day(we have mask mandates in our area). With a Happy Mask he will wear it all day without a single complaint. It's the beaked nose that keeps it off of their mouth and dry that does the trick.

I switched to disposables with my 5 year old. For a lot of reasons. When we were on cloth, she liked the disney branded ones or the old navy ones.

I think finding the right mask is like finding the right pacifier....gotta be the right fit, the right texture, the right feel or they hate it.

The Happy Masks look good (parrot nose) but they’re not even doing the waitlist anymore.

I searched for parrot beak and a sensory friendly mask (Rafi Nova) showed up in my search. The straps are what bother our 2 year old (she does keep the Gap one on for 45 mins) even with a lanyard for glasses attached; this is sold out as well;

This mask is available with a head clip but not as great as the Rafi Nova one above (polyester is harder to breath through):

Their website is completely sold out of every kids mask. I’m so confused.

Thanks! I’m really confused why so many masks are sold out. Has it always been this way?

I think everyone is expecting the mandates to be lifted soon and/or there is a shortage of employees so manufacturers stopped/reduced production

I would love if Disney got rid of the masks by the time ds is 2 in April but without knowing if that will happen we feel like we need to practice with him just in case. We also would like to fly this summer to see family so he’ll need one for that too

I think it's a combination of CDC guidance shifting to masks other than cloth, varying degrees of masking in schools being dropped and vaccines for kids over 5 and omicron testing the supply chain on EVERYTHING.

The under 5 set is pretty much forgotten, but it's also hit or miss as to where this age group has to wear a mask.

Now I’m wondering if we should even practice mask wearing with him. Idk what to do anymore. I guess it won’t hurt if we at least try.
