We currently live in Western Maryland, near Deep Creek Lake and have been DVC owners for 5 years. We have added on a few points at the AKV and we love it there. I love the exotic feel and the activities and of course the animals. We own also at OKW and HH. We have used the points for cruises and of course many vacations at our DVC resorts. I know you will enjoy the AKV we do! Candace

Hi - how's the snow up there now? We are going skiing up at Deep Creek / Wisp NEXT weekend. Rented a beeg 8 bedroom house with 5 other families...no school down here on Mon. for a "professional day". Figured it would be cheaper and less busy up there than THIS weekend (MLK)! Have the house until Tues - not sure if we're staying through Mon nite yet or not....may depend on the weather.

We bought in May 2007 and have two trips under our belt at AKV and SSR. We were at SSR with my parents and kids for 12 days in a two bedroom and it was awesome! We are right up the road in Cecil County, Perryville.

We purchased OKW several years back and have not regretted it one bit. It is our home away from home. We keep adding on slowly so we have enough for a 1 bedroom unit the whole month of January when we retire.

We live in Odenton. Sort of in the middle of a triangle between Baltimore, Annapolis, and DC.

Representin' the burbs of B-more- Catonsville. LOL We bought AKV in Sept 2007, we added on to AKV after 1 visit in May 2008. We love it and are going back in June for a week on DCL and a week at SSR(using our Developers points from adding on) We have not regretted it and are so glad we bought in!!

DW and i purchased in 2004 have yet to visit a resort i am govt employee at apg i see you are from Belcamp so i am sure you know where that is i live in North East md. We haved used our pts for 2 disney cruises and stayed at shades of Green On site. I really like DVC but really have not done a whole lot but have never had any trouble dealing with customer service or anything if you are dod employee or anything like that check out shades of green hotel.

DH and I have owned since September 2004, we own at both SSR and AKV. We've done quite a few trips, including a splurge at GF, a trip to Disneyland Hotel, SSR, BWV, and AKV. Have loved every trip and on Friday I leave for the weekend and will be staying at SSR.

Not sure where my trip in September will be as I'm waiting to the 7 month mark and having them let me know what is available before deciding.

In June/July we'll be staying at VB and AKV, and hopefully in a THV for Christmas. We love being members - we'd never be able to stay in the villas we do (usually 2 bedrooms) if we weren't.
