So, then, do you say Harry as in "hardy" without the d or in hat tree without the t? Because in the video it sounds more like she's using a short a instead of an "ah" sound. With an "ah" sound to me it would rhyme more with bar with a long e attached.
I guess "Harry" would be Hah-ree. An "a" as in mass. Or hat. So marry sounds like the "ma" in mass or hat. Then throw a "ree" on to the end.
Everyone I know says Mary "merry." But "marry" is a very distinct word with a different sound. If I knew a man named Barry Berry, his names would NOT rhyme. It would be Bah-ree Beh-ree.
